I've deduced (with the help of some others 😛) that it has something to do with wax. I ask because I'm going to a new place for my pedicure on Friday, and it includes a paraffin dip as part of the pedicure. I'm just a little curious what I'm in for, what the purpose is, and maybe some input on results?

parrafin is this wax they put on your feet that instantly starts to tickle them.
hahaha...joking.....i believe its a wax that will make your feet a lot softer
 
Paraffin is the wax typically used to remove body hair. Perhaps they're going to do something about your nickname "Sasquatch". :jester:

It's an OMG wonderful warm wax treatment that will leave your feet baby soft, sit back and enjoy it 🙂
 
Parrafin is a wax application service, usually done as an extra to a manicure or pedi. I do my manicures directly into the parrafin dip, followed by plastic baggies and cloth mittens but my pedis are done with the wax already administered in the plastic before slipping each foot in and covering them with towels to contain the heat.
The application is allowed to set, wax peeled off leaving skin soft and supple.
Very beneficial and 100% painless.
 
a parafin dip is a process where they repeatedly dip your feet in a paraffin wax that is usually infused with other oils and such such as jasmin or safron the coats the skin and heats it opening the pours allowing the natural oils added to absorb more deeply in the skin. after the wax is applied in hardened it is usually wrapped into some kind of thermal insulator allowing the heated wax to stay warmer longer and be more effective. after the wax is replaced your feet are gennerally softer and more supple.

Well, I can speak from experience on this one... I have my own parafin spa tub. I love it! Once you take the wax mold off, your feet will be extremely soft, smooth and moisturized. You'll love it!

Ah ??? I thought I just said that, but I guess you covered more details.
Now i'm curious . Have you ever done a paraffin wax service ?

I bring my system to the Michigan gathering every year; i use it to help remove dead skin; also to put the ladies into a more relax mood before the playing starts. It also can be used to soften your hands and elbows

amen sis.. it is nice.. a bit warm but so worth it.. will make your feet so soft. I had one once at a gathering was nice esp with the massage that usually comes with it

as Bella mentioned it is a wonderful warm wax that they usually put lotion on 1st, dip your feet/hands....and it helps seal in the moisture...it is wonderful and makes your skin feel oh so soft! I personally love it.

That settles it; it is now a requisite for lees before attending a gathering.

I've never heard of anyone using paraffin for body waxing... 😵
I don't think it's thick enough!

I dipped Lee's hands in paraffin wax when we went to that spa
party back in October, and the results were a-ma-zing!

yes it can make your tootsies amazingly soft! Imagine dipping your entire body up to it's neck in it...of course covering up essential spots! 🙂
