Anyone else excited about the return of SNME? I just got back into wrestling and can't wait. I'm glad wrestlings back where everyone can see. I have never seen SNME. When it ended I was 5 so this show is new to me. It's exciting to see a new show. It wont air much, about once a month, so it should be good every time, as it looks this weekend. Can't wait to see Shane-O-Mac fight HBK in a street fight. I'm happy as hell that J.R. is coming back. It was a stupid move by the WWE to fire him, if in fact it was a real firing. He's had a surgery and done a few other health related things since then so who knows. I just can't wait to see it. It should be good.
 
To me wrestling is a male soap opera....but I WATCH :wavingguy

I cant wait for SNME tommrrow night, I grew up watching SNME. KoKo BeWare, Superfly Jimmy Snooka, Jake the Snake Roberts.

Its going to be fun and I cant wait.

I really want to see RKO, Mysterio and Kurt Angle vs. Cena and HHH.
Hopefully it will be as good of a match as I envision.

I'm a little more "old school" than Rob. I grew up with Dick the Bruiser, Pepper Gomez, Wilber Snyder, Yukon Moose Cholak, The Black Jacks(Lanza & Mulligan) and of course Bobby Heenan before the advent of cable. Wrestling was always a male soap opera and I watched it until after the first SNME was cancelled. I started loosing interest when the story lines went nuts and Extreme wrestling programs started dotting the airwaves, and these guys really started getting hurt. Rocky Johnson's(the Rock's dad) last match was twelve feet in front of me in Indy when he tore his leg all to hell and I heard him ask for an ambulance for real. What really turned me off was when Owen Hart(Bret's brother) died on camera when a cable snapped and he dropped thirty feet and broke his neck on impact with the side of the ring. Drugs and alchohol finally killed Jake Roberts a few years ago while he was side show wrestling in some little outfit out west. Having said that I think I'll watch tonight and see if things have changed any. HHH was first starting when I quit watching and Mick Foley was just making waves as Cactus Jack but I guess he mostly retired from wrestling because of fifteen years of landing on his back from twenty feet up. Yeah, I'm starting to look forward to it.

i just recently found out that jake the snake died... i had no idea. i watched wrestling for a very short while in the eighties. with hulk hogan, randy macho man savage, jake the snake, andre the giant among others.

I'm just wondering if the new wrestlers can bring the excitement that the Road Warriors did when they entered the ring. :bowing:

Jake "The Snake" isn't dead. I think there was a rumor he had died, I cant remember, but he's alive. He got married last month I believe

SNME memory. When Owen Hart debuted as the Blue Blazer, against the Million Dollar Man, Ted Dibiase.
Also, seeing the Ultimate Warrior, Ravishing Rick Rude, Billy Jack Haynes.....

Bret 'Hitman' Hart, Eddie Guerrero, Mean Gene Okerlund in the Hall of Fame - hell yeah!!

are you sure??? because i got that from rather a reliable source. but so glad he isnt dead.. he was my favorite.

I could have sworn I saw Jake's obit in the paper a few years ago. Watched last night. It looks like Jim Ross had a stroke but he is still funny as hell and had forgotten all about Jerry Lollar. Still, it would have been better if Bobby Heenan could have been there because if wrestling didn't work out for him he could have made a fortune doing stand-up in Vegas and on TV.
 
It was nice to actually see it back. The card was actually pretty decent, it's always cool to see what the hell Shane's going to pull.
 
Actually Jake "the Snake" Roberts made an appearance on Monday Night Raw last year at some point. I think it was to promote the dvd out on him. Jake looked awful, bloated, and could barley do a DDT, but he is alive. Not sure if he's still doing crack.

SNME was pretty good; though it could have been better. The ratings for it sucked too...It got a 3.2, which granted is better than its Raw or Smackdown ratings, but it was the lowest of the four big networks.

To give you some idea of its competition, re-runs of COPS got a 4.4...

They'll be having another one in July. Hopefully it does a bit better.

He did look winded but oh so cute none the less! It was a good show but I hope when they do the next one it is a little better! I never really watched this before (my BF is a fan) but its like a soap opera (like someone else said) and that makes it better for me!

Yeah but she was hot in like Wrestlemania XX when she shaved Mollys head. With yellow tights and fishnets coming out in a mans suit and ripping it off. MMMMmmmmmm!!!! :manicd:
 
Victoria ugly? actually i think she is still attractive. definitely not the best looking, but she's not bad. i wouldnt kick her out of bed.....

as for the show, i thought it was good. too many damn commercials, but still entertaining. that suplex that HBK and Shane had through the tables was definitely the best moment. damn! i will give Shane credit. he isnt a trained wrestler and he performed a bump like that? much props to the son of the organization's owner. if i was Vince's son, i would be an announcer...

am i one of the few people who like John Cena? true, he is no Austin, Rock, or HBK, but he is entertaining. it's amazing he is getting booed. but it depends on where they are. some cities he is cheered wildly, but other places he is booed. i know Vince hates this as Cena is supposed to be carrying the brand. what Cena needs to start doing is his rap insults and the fans will like him again....

i have always been a fan of SNME and look forward to another. i just wish they would put it on at 11:30pm and pre-empt SNL, just like the old days.
