Week 1 Predictions

GAME TIME
Miami at Pittsburgh 8:30 p.m. Pittsburgh despite not having Big Ben.

Sunday, Sep. 10
GAME TIME
Atlanta at Carolina 1:00 p.m. Carolina because they are the best team in football.

Baltimore at Tampa Bay 1:00 p.m. Tampa Bay because I think it is tough to win in that stadium especially Opening Day.

Buffalo at New England 1:00 p.m. New England Patriots because they are just plain better than the Bills.

Cincinnati at Kansas City 1:00 p.m. I think alot of people are going to find out how good a coach Herm Edwards is as I think he serves the Jets and the rest of the NFL a big time shitburger. Kansas City will win in the place where very few opponents win.

Denver at St. Louis 1:00 p.m. Denver will win a tight game in St.Louis.

New Orleans at Cleveland 1:00 p.m. I think Reggie gets a good start here as the Saints will beat Cleveland.

N.Y. Jets at Tennessee 1:00 p.m. Though a Jets fan ( and I will root hard for them to win this year as I do every year ) it is hard to pick the Jets in a game on the road. That being said, I will go with the Titans in a romp over the Jets.

Philadelphia at Houston 1:00 p.m. I will go with Houston here, though with the prima donna out of there the Eagles will be a better team without that JERK around.

Seattle at Detroit 1:00 p.m. This is more of a heart than the head pick. I truly believe that the Lions are going to win this division. Yes, I did say that. Even though reasonable thinking says that the Lions have no shot at winning this game, I believe this will be the upset pick of the week. Lions will win their home opener 24-21.

Chicago at Green Bay 4:15 p.m. I am not a believer in Chicago or Green Bay. That being said, I will take the Packers to win this game at home 9-7.

Dallas at Jacksonville 4:15 p.m For those of you who think that missing virtually an entire pre-season is alright, we will find out as Bill Parcells begins his nightmare season with the JERK. As a result of the JERK missing the pre-season the Cowgirls start their season of shame in an 0-1 hole. Jacksonville in convincing fashion over Dallas.

San Francisco at Arizona 4:15 p.m. Arizona with all the additions will win this division. I think it starts with a overwhelming win over the 49ers 38-10.

Indianapolis at N.Y. Giants 8:15 p.m. The Manning versus Manning game. Lets be fair about this. Payton has lost Edgerrin James but the Giants still need to stop Payton. As much as I like games like this one, I really can't make a case for Eli. Not yet. But it will be a fun game to watch. Colts 27 - Giants 21.

Monday, Sep. 11
GAME TIME
Minnesota at Washington 7:00 p.m. Washington is the better team. Washington will win their home opener.

San Diego at Oakland 10:15 p.m. Again, the Chargers are the better team here. Oakland will play tough though. San Diego will win by a touchdown.

Those are the picks for week#1 in the league where they play for pay.

Week one is always a tough week to get a winning record. That said, we really did not do that bad. I am use to seeing 4-12 and 5-11 records after one week. Granted that is when there is a point spread as well. I will post our records as we move along this season. I will also post the spreads to make it a little tougher. We aren't playing for anything so, why not??? We will do this based on winning percentages. Meaning, I will post all the games if there are point spread posted on those games in the USA Today on either Wednesday or Thursday. You can pick from these games. You must pick at least five games to qualify for that weeks winning percentage. Or pick from the whole field and see how good you really are. Let me know if you guys are interested. I will post a thread on this as well. Here is week one's standings:

Lojak 10-6 .625
Slacker 8-8 .500
Natural 7-8 .467
Robace 7-8 .467
Illtcklu 7-9 .438
TF4F 7-9 .438

Illtcklu 7-9 .438
Wow! My percentage is better than the CHIEFS!!!

Did I say they sucked ass.....?

What about week two Lojak? I don't have a list of all the games or I would put it on.........

I will take care of that either tomorrow or Thursday with points spreads.
