Been playing Morrowind for the last few weeks after installing a shitton of mods. Bout to start up something else. Thinking of going back and playing Nier since I never got all of the endings.

Actually if it's the PSX he'd mean the second one. The first came out on the SNES, but wasn't released outside Japan. Either way there are actually a lot of RPG games that now use more active combat than the turn based system. The Tales series comes to mind.
