No that's the thing, I studied something similar in my technical writing course and just.. well, was kind of embarrassed that I missed it lol. Not the subliminal messaging, like you had mentioned, but the ideas of who ads are being marketed towards. Bleh~

I like your (user)name. And quite enjoyed your post under the why more women aren't here thread. Enlightening. The ads kind of irked me for similar reasons but I hadn't considered how their existence establishes those perceptions to the site. Just always considered them a mild annoyance but now... ehh... they really irritate me >>.
