  • Oh I'm sorry man. I lost my dad 2 years back so I know how rough it can be. Throws your world inside out. Although I've been kinda silent on the forum for the last few weeks, I'm around. feel free to contact me whenever you want.
TOM! Thanks so much for your message of concern  I've been in hospital with a gnarly case of food poisioning 😱. Didn't mean to disappear on ya'll 😛 but I'm on the mend now and I'll be A ok 🙂.

I heard about your loss, Tom 🙁 I'm so, so sorry to hear it. I wish I could be there to give you a great big hug and offer a shoulder to cry on. You are one of my dearest friends on here and I just wanted you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. You'll make it through, I know you will, just know I'll be there for you whenever you need me 😀 :twohugs:

Hey. Sorry, I haven't been on in a wee while. How are things going with you? I'm seeing some sympathetic messages on here, I hope everything's ok man.
Awww, well you seem to be handling it well. Bless your heart. :redheart: Just keep in mind that death isn't a bad thing and souls never fade away. Yes, the body is important and we can do many useful things with it, but it's still "merely the shell of [the] soul" as John Denver says in "Eagles and Horses". And the pain you're feeling right now won't last forever. The good thing about time is that it acts as a medicine to heal emotional wounds. :console:

And music is a nice healing medicine as well. :)
OMG, I'm so sorry. If you ever wanna talk privately, just PM me. And sorry about the delay, my cleaner came round. You know what I mean, I didn't want her to see this site.
Found it.....I hope it gives you as much comfort as it did me.

"How many of us are given the immeasurable privilege of walking our loved one right up to Heaven's door and kissing her goodbye, of being the last voice she hears on this earth before she is ushered into the presence of her savior?"
My heart goes out to you. Losing your mom sucks, there's no other way to describe it. I can certainly relate to how you might be feeling......I was devastated when my mom died. I too was very, very close to my mom. A proud "Mommy's Girl," I'll admit 🙂 She was my best friend. Seeing your mom take her last breath is something you just can't put into words. I couldn't get that image out of my head for a long time and even still, I think about it. I have to find you this quote from a forum I was active on right after she died. It was all people like us, who had just lost a parent and it helped to see that I wasn't alone. I'll post it for you and I think or I hope at least, it comforts you. God Bless.
Aw glad you liked it. Not sure who the author is but it was a great source of comfort to me and it helped to be reminded of where she was/is and that she was no longer suffering. Hope you're hanging in there and let me know if you need anything. Love you! :twohugs:
Hi Tom, just wanted to let you know that you're in my prayers and I'm thinking of you. I wanted to share this poem that you may or may not have seen but it was a great source of comfort for me whenever my mom died last year. We even had it printed on the back of her funeral cards. It's called "God's Garden."

    God's Garden

    God looked around his garden
    and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
    And saw your tired face.

He put His arms around you,
    And lifted you to rest.
    God's garden must be beautiful,
    He always takes the best.

    He knew you were suffering,
He knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never,
    Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids,
    And whispered, "Peace be thine."

It broke our hearts to lose you,
    But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home
I'm so sorry for your loss, Tom. :twohugs: I posted in your thread, but I'll repeat it here: if you need to talk, my door is open. :twohugs:
    Good sir,
I just read your member profile, and rather than saying 'hello' in that older thread I figured I'd drop a line at 'your place' and say 'hello' here! You seem like good people, nice to meet ya.

Dude! No idea what in the hell is wrong with them. Ugh! Ah oh well.....better luck next year!!!! Hope all is well with you! :twohugs:
