I've been in hospital with a gnarly case of food poisioning 😱. Didn't mean to disappear on ya'll 😛 but I'm on the mend now and I'll be A ok 🙂.
I heard about your loss, Tom 🙁 I'm so, so sorry to hear it. I wish I could be there to give you a great big hug and offer a shoulder to cry on. You are one of my dearest friends on here and I just wanted you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. You'll make it through, I know you will, just know I'll be there for you whenever you need me 😀

Awww, well you seem to be handling it well. Bless your heart. :redheart: Just keep in mind that death isn't a bad thing and souls never fade away. Yes, the body is important and we can do many useful things with it, but it's still "merely the shell of [the] soul" as John Denver says in "Eagles and Horses". And the pain you're feeling right now won't last forever. The good thing about time is that it acts as a medicine to heal emotional wounds. :console:

Losing your mom sucks, there's no other way to describe it. I can certainly relate to how you might be feeling......I was devastated when my mom died. I too was very, very close to my mom. A proud "Mommy's Girl," I'll admit 🙂 She was my best friend. Seeing your mom take her last breath is something you just can't put into words. I couldn't get that image out of my head for a long time and even still, I think about it. I have to find you this quote from a forum I was active on right after she died. It was all people like us, who had just lost a parent and it helped to see that I wasn't alone. I'll post it for you and I think or I hope at least, it comforts you. I wanted to share this poem that you may or may not have seen but it was a great source of comfort for me whenever my mom died last year. We even had it printed on the back of her funeral cards. It's called "God's Garden."
