What exactly is a MILF? I know what it stands for, but is it actually pertaining to the age of the woman or her actual state of parenthood...or both? 😕
 
From what I can tell, "MILF" is commonly used to describe an attractive mature lady. The age of the person so described is generally above that of the person describing them, and, despite the word designated by the "M" in the acronym, I don't think motherhood is necessarily a requirement.


Then again, this is just what I've picked up given the context in which I've heard the word used... 🙂
 
I concur....Most that I would consider a MILF are not older than I am...(lol)
 
Can you be considered a MILF if you aren't or never have been a mom? hehe..

how about a hot aunt???? AILF? hmmm

I have a funny story! But first, my own definition: A woman old enough to be your mother, whom you find sexually attractive.

A couple of years ago I was working for an IT school. I did their courseware. During a meeting, the potential name for a new program came up. Its acronym was... MILF. Mentored Independent Learning Format. The guys all started choking back giggles (I was the only woman attending this meeting) and refused to tell me why! The only answer I was able to get them to choke out between giggles was "Google it!".

Needless to say, they changed the acronym to something else... 🙄

My husband and I were involved in a discussion that was rapidly becoming a debate, with full potential of evolving into an out-and-out argument. I had just recently been the recipient of that title :blush:, and I questioned the voracity (and vision) of the one who mentioned it. This launched a debate on whether I could safely go places alone where young men congregate; I said of course I can--not fishing for compliments with false modesty, but attraction does have to be mutual for it to become an issue and no-one that young was really going to look twice "that way" at me--I mean, really...! 🙄 Bill said that I was apparently a little naive in that MILFs,(meaning older, experienced pretty women) were now more popular than I was given to believe, I was very much one and more young men were aware of me than I thought. I disagreed, stating the term was more in reference to younger mothers, i.e., twenty- or even early thirty-something girls who had babies at a young age (hence the term's initial reference of "mother"), rather than women any older.

So before it got really heated (the potential was definitely there!), he made me come here to ask you guys, as I've always valued your respective opinions. You all were settling the argument, that's all... 😀
