what video game are you playing?

Neverwinter Nights 2. Where has my Blackguard's Vrock servant gone? Why has my Doom Knight become a shitty skeleton? Why does Torio Claven look like me with boobs? And who is this gnome?....
 
I'm not even a quarter of the way into Mass Effect but I'm ready to say that it's awesome.

I like how the game handles combat like a 3rd person shooter, where you aim and take cover, instead of the previous D&D-like hit/roll system from KOTOR. It's a lot more entertaining and interactive than just picking a target and waiting for your character to wack it enough for it to die.
 
Yeah, I'm probably about a quarter in as well. I agree on the combat over KOTOR as well. It just gets frustrated when you have to sit back and watch, takes the game out of the game.

Aye, as much as I'm enjoying the game I just get this feeling that it could have been so much more; it's got more bugs in it than a caveman's diet, the companion AIs are wholesale shit and there's loads and loads of plot threads that are just left dangling and unfinished. And the good ending makes my skin crawl, that's probably the worst piece of plotting I've seen in a videogame since Chu-Chu was crucified for my sins. "Thanks for spending all those hours navigating showstoppers and intrigues; the enemy is defeated but unfortunately everyone died. Don't fret though, that quest-giving NPC you talked to in Act I gets a job on the Council so it's not all bad news. Bye!"

Yep. That pretty much sums up Obsidian Entertainment's M.O. alright. If BioWare has ever been accused of dropping the ball at any time in their career, it is deffinately in reference to Obsidian. I just don't know why they hand their sequels over to them. Out of all the people I have talked to (well over a hunered) I have only met ONE who liked the second Knights of the old Republic.
 
Used to play many F1 games ( GP, GP2 ) now a bit fed up with it. Diablo was great at times, now i play Raven Shield which is a game i discovered via the demo ( even if it's an *old* game 2003 ) & it's very enjoyable cause you have control on all you do 🙂 i was not an FPS player at all but that one made me change my . of view. Trying now Sniper Elite. Tough but great.

My computer doesn't allow me to play the really new games ( 1ghz 512 mb & 128 graphic card ) so i stick up with those ones mentioned. Excusively PC player, tried some games on ps2 though, but disseapointed. Graphically and in terms of realism no console can match a proper *gamer* configuration in my opinion.
 
mass effect and assassin's creed good games but super mario galaxy is a great game LOL
 
been playing a lot of Ragnarok Online, Knights of the Old Republic, and a few others.

moose: Fable is getting the sequel treatment? this i have to see...Fable had so ,uch room for improvement; fun, adaptive, and i loved being evil :firedevil i hope the sequel makes up for what the original lacked.
 
Hopefully Fable 2 is less linear than the first one it was my only really major complaint about that game, Currently playing Assassins Creed and Mass effect, Noticed alot of other people are playing it too, What class did you all decide to go with?

I played through the game with a Vanguard. With the right upgrades, that damn shotgun does a HELL of a lot of damage! I was actually able to blast most of my enemies with that thing in one or two shots from long range!

I have also been casually playing with a straight up Biotic character.
 
I'm currently playing Clive Barker's: Jericho (PC version).
 
I was playing assassin's creed but that game is so damn repetative so I started to play mass effect its so hard to put it down 🙂
 
currently playing games like halo 3 and call of duty4 and trying to finish assassins creed(yeah it really is a repetitive game).😛
 
I just spent an hour and a half on assassins creed trying to find the last masyaf flag, i should have stopped but it was annoying me that much...and although the game is repetitive i still find counter kills extremely satisfying

every few months i bust it out and start over just for shits and giggles....same with max payne 2

now i`m splitting time between nhl 08 and guitar hero 3
 
oh it's a good way to evacuate angryness instead of killing people in real life ( fps ) or driving quick & drunk even without any danger caused 🙂

that said it can be addictive, so those who play like more that 15 hours a day > listen to giggle & play football 😛

I play pro Foosball (or Table Soccer, if you will) on the USTSF (United States Table Soccer Federation) and IFP (Independant Foosball Promotions).

Anyhoo...football is cool too.
