The word "Stop"

Hey Everyone!

I have a question and I was wondering everyone's take on it.

How much longer do you tickle a person once they start shouting 'stop'?

For example, take my boyfriend and me.

When I tickle my boyfriend (one on one), he's not laughing for 10 seconds before he starts begging me to stop. Once he starts begging, I can only hold out for like another 10 seconds before I stop because I worry it's too intense for him. We have a safe word, but he never uses it, because I can't get past 'stop' lol

But on the other hand, when he tickles me, it's full out, relentless tickling. First, I hold out on saying stop at first partially because it's fun, and also because I try to struggle to free myself without having to beg. But once I start screaming for him to stop .. he doesn't!! Instead he keeps going until I'm practially out of breath.

Now I know that what he does is total grounds for me to tickle him just as relentlessly, but I can't bring myself to do it. lol The only time he gets what he deserves (I think lol) is when we're in a group of people and we all gang up on him. Then, when he's begging for us to stop, even if I do, the others will continue for me lol

So I just wondered what you guys thought about 'stop'? I am new to the whole tickling thing, so I'm also wondering if it gets easier to just ignore his pleas as I go along?

I think your boy friend is lucky to have a girl friend that lets a group of women tickle him. However you should use the safty word rule, that way he can scream for mercy all he wants but unless he says the safty word you keep on going. challanging his ego is a good way to get him to hold out.

It sounds like the two of you have some fun times. Good luck.

I use a safeword so that the word 'stop' is meaningless to the ler. Part of the fun is yelling "stop!" without the ler actually stopping. If I really need the tickling to stop, I say "red." But that's only happened once. 😛

It does get easier as you go along. If you're not use to being relentless, or it just doesn't come naturally to you, it will over time, but it's hard to get over that point of concern if it's "too much". If there is a safeword though, I'd say just try to keep going, push yourself as far as you can to keep tickling him, and if you get tempted to stop when he says stop, devilishly reply to his pleas with something like "Oh, you want me to stop? I'm not hearing the magic word." or something along those lines. That way, if he really is in need of a break and he just forgot to utilize the safeword, he'll remember, and if he doesn't say it, you can be confident that you're not hurting him by continuing.

Hope this helps some. =]

Saying "stop" is like a natural reflex. Really though it means nothing. I have a safe word that actually means stop. 🙂

I say stop before it even starts! That means nothing! 🙂 Thank God my ler is experienced and knows that.

Hehe i guess i'm the weird one out. I only say the word stop as a command when i really mean it. I guess i'm fortunate enough to be with someone who knows the difference between the playful aggravated tone and the "yeah, that's too much, quit it" tone. It's prolly a bad habit but we're two that usually operate on the unspoken safeword.

To me, the whole point of having a safeword is this:

"Safeword" means "Stop immediately!"
"Stop" means "Continue and please also verbally taunt me."

That works very well for me and MZ. 😀

As a 'ler, find the word "stop" to be part of the fun. It's when a partner says "red", "banana", "gobbledygook", or any other silly agreed-upon safe word that I will actually stop.

"Stop" to me is just the reflex that ticklee's throw out. For example, it takes only a couple of pokes until I tell the tickler to stop; I don't even have to start laughing. Of course, I don't want him to, but what else am I suppose to say? Keep going?

So, take your boyfriend into my shoes. He might actually want you to stop, or not. Keep going and see what happens. The safe word is, well, safe, so just have fun with it.

The word Stop, while being tickled is usually an automatic reaction word and is said regardless of whether the person being tickled wants it to stop or not.
So the tickler should keep on tickling no matter how many times the ticklee yells out "Stop" "Please Stop" "Please Please I Beg you to Stop...".
If a safe word is implemented before hand, than that is the only word that would signify that the person ticked seriously wants it to stop and even then, that may be a gray area because one may shout out that word even though they really don't needthe tickling to stop.
Especially in a pre planned tickle session with the ticklee tied for a period of time.
In surprise tickle attacks, the tickling should just go on and on until the tickers see that the person tickled has had enough no matter how many "Stops" are screamed out!

So you just have to get that mindset instilled in your mind and know that Stop is really not "Stop".
A good tickler will truly know when to "Stop"

Sinisterly,

Boris

Exactly! I love it when the the tickled one cries out "Stop" and begs and pleads for mercy! That is so part of the fun and thrill and makes me tickle all that much more and verbally taunt as well.
When I am the one tickled, I, when I can, yell out "stop" and do some begging for mercy myself. Part of me does want it to stop but another part does not.

As far as a safe word is concerned, when I am the one tickled, I refuse to say it and never will. No matter what. At least not yet.

Sinisterly,

Boris
