One eye open during tickling?

Ok, this is something that I've wondered about for a long time, but I always forget about it before I can say anything. Well, it would appear that I didn't this time. So now I'm gonna bring it up. Oh wait I already did. GOOD!

You know, in a lot of tickling art I've seen, the lee will have one eye open, looking somewhere. And...I don't think I've ever seen anyone do that irl. I mean, is that actually realistic? It seems like you'd have to make an active effort to just open one eye. So lees, have you? Lers, have you ever seen a person open one eye and look at you? Is this something that actually happens?
 
I don't think I've ever done that. Then again, I'm not really thinking about what I look like when I'm getting tickled. Next time it happens, I'll try to keep one eye open and I'll let you know how this experiment pans out.
 
It takes quite an effort for me to even wink at someone, leave alone keep one eye open and one shut, leave alone doing that during tickling!! 🙂

Yeah, that's what I would think. I mean it takes me more effort to have one open and one closed.
 
I think it's mostly an anime-thing....just an anime-style. It's not like they have a lot of realism to them apart from the one-eye-thing. 🙂
 
I had a ticklee who said I got the most amazing look in my face when I was tickling her, then she never elaborated. I assume she had at least one eye open at some point.
 
I've seen one chick who when tickled for more than a few seconds keeps both eyes wide open and shakes her head from side to side. Other than that I dont know.
 
People tend to make stupid faces when they're being tickled.
Perhaps it [the face] was contorted into a strange wink at just the right time in the artist's imagination.

Yeah I have actually seen it happen...it some of the tickle clips and with some of my ticklees :parrot2:
 
Artoo: I've heard from someone else somewhere that it's more of a blinking thing. That is, it's usually them opening the eye only for a second. Which I think is a bit misrepresenting since that's only for a small time and not a constant thing.
 
hmmmm. I haven't thought of that. I always keep my eyes closed...I don't like looking 😛. In terms of watching other lees, I don't think I've ever witnessed one with just one eye open...
 
its hard enough to do it right without being tickled. i tend to close both eyes.
