Something I've been curious about for years: Ski-mask...gloves...sunglasses...

Why?

Not a smartass flamey comment here. I'm legitimately curious. No matter what country, from the US to Japan to the Czech Republic, you see it everywhere.
 
Tickle Abuse, Last Laugh, Tickle Chicks, Czech Tickling etc all seem to have generous portions of F/F stuff. Many of the male 'lers seem to want their identity kept secret, hence the disguises. There are only like 499 presidents jobs at the Fortune 500 companies, you know! 🙂

I guess some of them do want to remain anonymous. But there's another important reason to do this. A fair percentage of customers prefer F/F and aren't too fond of seeing a guy's face in a tickling video (including the producer's). It can be a turn off for them. That's why you only see my hands and arms when I contribute to the tickling in my own videos. I don't want to scare off my clientele with my ugly mug. While I do enjoy tickling, when I do a shoot I prefer to let the models do most the job.

Personally, I find it rather creepy when male ticklers wear masks, sunglasses and the like. But that's just me. In any case, I'm not a big fan of M/F.
 
I don't like to have my face in the videos because I've been told by customers that they really don't want to see anything but the model getting tickled. Also, when I began The TickleShow, I was an executive at a Fortune 200 company. Now, I am a Manager at another Fortune 200 company, so my job would be in jeopardy if things became too public. I am not a big fan of the masks, either, although it would make my life a lot easier in terms of editing.
 
If I ever offered my services as a male lee for any of the F/M video producers I would absolutely wear a mask. Why? Well, I'll probably never be a candidate for the U.S. Senate, but there's always that chance... Meaning that the last thing I would want is a video floating around that could harm my career, present or future. My guess is that a lot of the guys who appear in tickling videos are thinking about their day job. Ron Jeremy would probably be able to put it on his resume but the rest of us guys can't.

As for the women, well, most women probably wouldn't be able to consistently pull off wearing masks in videos because those videos would not be particularly marketable given how visual men are. A video every now and then with a girl dressed as a sexy superhero or something definitely sells, but that's generally the exception and not the rule.

Unfortunately, as you can imagine, that would more or less kill any chance you'd have of getting hired. It's pretty much the same for both male and female ticklees: seeing the facial expressions is very important for most customers. Quite understandable, really.

Thats not only true for F/F fans! I am big fan of M/F but absolutely prefer that the M remains anonymus. Except if he is a good taunter, then talking is fine. If he has to appear in the picture then a mask is okay. Personaly I think a neutral ski mask is better than fancy masks.
 
Thanks folks. Puts it into more perspective there. I mean I do prefer F/F myself if and when I do decide to browse and/or buy videos, unless of course I find the girl in the lee position to be absolutely irresistibly drop dead gorgeous then I *suppose* I'll suffer a man in the picture. 😛 I personally am just fine with a guy who shows his face. Sales speak for themselves though, and if masks and being a silent ler is what sells better then more power to the producers. I'm also speaking from the perspective of doing actual sessions, not videotaped ones for the purpose of selling. Being a quiet ler in a real life session tends to bore the shit out of the lee, as there's a distinct lack of energy to the whole thing. Vids are different though, they exist for the benefit of what the consumer wants to see, not for the people *in* the video.
 
The answer is simple, really... I hide my face under my PoPro hat because I'm an ugly, old man. My customers pay to see beautiful women tickled silly, not sweat roll down my ginormous nose.

It's also why I have this odd habit of making my head completely disappear when I really get into a model's most ticklish spots. Seriously, it's like on ostrich burying its head in the sand!

Should those who enjoy male 'lers just not be satisfied? I'm sure our Giggle-maker was just being funny, but over the years I've observed a weird sense of entitlement in those who prefer F/F vids, as though male 'lers besides themselves shouldn't really exist; I understand individual sexual preferences but damn, it can't be all about you all the time 😉 Personally I wish more male 'lers would show their faces, I've had a *very* hard time finding good male 'lers for BellaRisa who were willing to be seen (I'm always amused at how quick guys are to tell a cute girl not to worry about being in a fetish clip but wouldn't dream of doing one themselves) . It's a shame, because I and many others like myself love to see the evil look on a male's face, and while we're obviously in the minority as consumers our money is still green and we shouldn't be discounted the way we are.

(Interestingly, It's much easier to find spanking videos with male spankers clearly seen and the videos are highly successful with both men and women; I've often wondered about the difference there)
 
Here are, in no particular order, my thoughts on the matter.

- Anonymity. Guys are worried that they'll be seen as "that creepy fetish guy" if they are recognized. I don't know why the reverse doesn't happen, although Laugh Out Loud productions had their female models in masks, and Knismo's models almost always have their face obscured. If you're a professional fetish model, I suppose hiding your face would be silly.

- Guys are worried they'll be seen as an "ugly mug".

- They are hoping that by being a disembodied set of hands, or a guy in a mask, we male viewers will put ourselves in their position, thereby increasing our interest in the clip.

- They are all famous people. (I do believe James Darke is Chris Rock under that ski mask)

- Males, as a rule, are camera shy, plus they don't want to be seen drooling over their victims. 🙂
 
Hell if I had the balls to be a 'ler in a video, no mask for me. I would have female customers in mind. I'd wear ma' kilt, and I'd talk...a lot. Cha-ching. $$ =D

Ok I'll take off my cocky pants now... 😛

Yes that is quick and easy but:

1) Not good for fans of M/F
2) The male tickler is often the producer which means they are usually good ticklers (lots of practice!) and if they wanted a female ler they would have to hire two models and not one hence the most significant production cost would double. Let's be honest - producers would rarely have to pay for a male 'ler!
3) Not all female 'lers are as good as Tasha, Brook, Tay, Ruby Summers, Ayla Sky or Holly Mcguire. I admit not all male 'lers are great either.

I have seen a fair amount of f/f but when the guy wears a mask, it helps some people who don't totally like m/f, and i mean the whole Identity kept, I completely agree and understand why
