Wood did surprise me. 6 1/3 IP, 2R, 1ER, 9K, hence a quality start.
And I am very glad that I stayed up until 1am and saw the walk-off home run. It came with two outs and two strikes in the bottom of the 9th, which is the best way for a walk-off home run to OCCUR. :bouncybou

Yes, I understand that as well. But you must have mixed feelings when an interleague game takes place between the Mets and the Yankees. I suppose you force yourself to root for the YANKEES. 😀

It has happened that a manager had to put a starting pitcher in the outfield because he had used up the whole bench and then somebody got injured in the 14th inning. If you can't put nine eligible players on the field, then you FORFEIT. 😱
