I've actually took part in a real marathon once and, without training, finished it to raise funds for charity... so count me in AND I'll race for the victory... so, y'all lees are warned. I'll make myself last forever! 😀

Actually, thinking about it a bit more. I have a position opened for a personal trainer (or even a team) to get ready!! 😀


Please, PLEASE, make this idea become true. I'll try to help to organize it, if required... what about Memphis as at least one of the locations for the contest?

Logistic ideas.
We might set up multiple locations with the same number of lers in each one, of course, to cover the required areas and keep the results posted in thread here in the gathering section to form the partial and final ranking and define the winner.

Well, I'll be glad to help the group in that. Post ideas and we all check the local possibilities.


Contest rules

I know this is the last of the problems, but just check it out if it is a possible and intriguing format.
There might be the problem that a wild gang tickling from the very beginning could lead to very short playing times and ppl will not enjoy it as much as they can after all...
We might set up different "specialties" to assign points earned by each ticklee. Those points will be summed in order to give the final score to each one. What I am trying to think is a "crescendo" of tickling levels so that everybody can enjoy it at the best.
We might break up for, example, for (1) method (feathers, fingers, toothbrush or equivalent tools, baby oil session, etc) and (2)area (armpit, chest, armpit, bellybutton, tights, feet). Points will be assigned for each method used and multiplied by a factor for each area. In this way we have a comprehensive picture of the endurance level of each contestant or fund raiser, or victim... eheh...

In case we do not have the same number of ticklers in every location we might introduce a multiplier also for this parameter so that we can compare the results fairly.

Each session might look like, for example:

Feathers on chest: x, let's say, five minutes. When the minutes have passed succesfully, tights are tickled with feathers at the same time for x minutes and then feet are added, and so on till when all the areas are tickled at the same time in the gang tickle, in this example with feathers.
The poor ticklee will use a safe word after a while...
at that point he earns a break and gains a partial score.
After the break the same sequence is repeated with another method and so on.

Scoring system:
example of final report:

FEATHERS (1 point/minute)
Chest 30 mins: 30 x 0.5 (multiplier for the chest) = 15
Sides 25 mins: 25 x 0.25 = 6
feet 10 mins: 10 x 2 = 20
etc
TOTAL 41
FINGERS (5 points/minute)
Chest 25 mins 25 x 0.5
etc
TOTAL 60
TOOLS
etc
TOTAL 50

BABY OIL GANG TICKLING (10 points/minute)
TOTAL 120 (that would be 12 minutes! for example)


GRAND TOTAL 270


We might add a final "extravaganza" session in which each ler choses the elective method of tickling... that would be the final blast.

We might also think about a minimum time for each session that cannot be interrupted.

Of course the lers have to decide before the beginning of the contest the scoring system

...

Italian_Touch, It is a good start but, unfortunatly, not all 'lees are ticklish in the same places. I have met some 'lees who go balistic when you even touch their feet but you couldn't get a laugh to save your life if you tickled their sides or armpits. The only way that would work is if all 'lees were first pre-qualified to insure that they are ticklish from head to toe.

I take it back something, I say something more...

Ops... I realized I wrote something that I did not mean in my previous post... but it was too late ("naahhh! Who cares about previewing... send it!")

I don't know if it raised positive reactions or not, btw, I re-edited it, trying to read more carefully what I wrote 🙄
and I put in some more ideas too 😀 .

You might decide to screen each contestant right before starting and calibrate the points according to the personal differencies, or contestants might state it before (honesty, plz... we're volunteering for charity 😉 ).

Btw, in any case there will be not a perfect system. Speaking about myself, I have some spots that are never ticklish, other ones that make me hit the roof and other ones that are amazingly variable: if I get tickled for a while somewhere else and than you go back to a non ticklish area it has suddenly turned a hot-spot...

It was mainly a way to let the game last longer (I guess that not most of us might resist a decent amount of time under a full throttle gang tickling of you little devils, at least from the very beginning ) and to introduce different "methods" in a contest-style.

Sorry folks. I've gotten behind in my classwork. Will peek in from time to time, but right now I have until June 1st to produce three papers and a presentation.

In order to collect maximum donations for the charity, and to keep the event running over the years, the lers must develop a method that keeps the volunteer on the table, in the stocks, or whatever apparatus they're tied to as long as possible. Breaks will be used for the hyper-ticklish or the very stubborn who endure much more tickling than the average person!😉

Step away for a couple weeks and you miss the most amazing things.

I'd be 100% game for a fund raiser like that, so count me in (before my lapse of sanity ends).

Welcome. No you're not stupid at all, some of us are pals and we're just having a little fun. Where in California are you? (There is a northern Cali group and one down south too.)

Actually though since you mentioned charity, (and thanx for the reminder BTW, I made him a promise!)DJ Sean is a cancer survivor and is hosting a fundraiser. His post is earlier on here if you'd like to contact him and contribute. I was just giving his cause a shameless plug (we're friends off the board too) and having a little fun with the thread.
