Something that continues to irritate me on here is people posting to a thread whose content they don't like. I'm not talking about hateful, racist, prejudiced posts. They definitely don't belong here at all. I'm talking about a typical post with pictures, etc. that some may like, but others don't.

A big example is male nudity. If such a pic is posted, invariably some guy will post something like "warn me next time", "this really is gross", "this is definitely NOT my thing", etc. Have you never been in a men's locker room in your entire life?? It's not like you'll go blind or start growing hair on your palms or something. If it's not your thing, just ignore it and go on. Probably 80% of pictures involving nudity on here are of females. I have yet to see any woman complain about that. I'm quite confident that many women on here are heterosexual, but they just move on. Why can't guys do the same?

It's also very irritating to me, and I would think discouraging to posters, to have someone post some pics of his wife's/gf's bare feet and someone says "How about in nylons?" So he posts her feet in nylons and someone says "Bare is better." WHY?? We all have a variety of fetish tastes on here. Just enjoy what you like and let the rest go "uncommented".

Any feedback?

I have a theory that guys that are homophobic like that, are really just afraid of their own demise.

It is polite to warn people in the title of nudity in the post, and also to tell them the type of material to expect, that is, f/f, f/m, m/f, or m/m.

That said, you are right, people should just stay away from posts that contain material they don't like.

Moreover, if somebody posts nothing but material that you don't like, just put him or her on your Ignore List.

I agree with the OP on this; not so much about the male nudity, because I do just ignore any such threads and move on, but about complaints over content.

I'm sure I've said this before, but here it is again. It's really irritating when people post UB tickling clips and are inevitably hit with "show us some foot tickling" posts. There must not be enough foot clips around here for the poor folks who find it necessary to invade UB threads with their "why not tickle her feet?" replies. It's always the same, too - I've never seen upperbody fans go into an FT thread to whine "plz do teh sides". I'd even go so far as to say that if that's not a violation of forum rules, it should be.

You mean....

I have a theory that guys that are homophobic like that, are really just afraid of their own demise.

The ones who are so homophobic they have to go out of their way to say they don't like a m/* or a */m image? As if anyone asked them in the first place? I always wondered about that.....I mean, how bad is it, when you have to trumpet that you, personally, don't like seeing a guy in a picture, when it's a public forum?

Just a wonderin'......

I am Excess...

And I approve this topic. Really, alot of people need to see this.

And in terms of why people need to do that, it could be that they think that maybe if they complain and tell what it should be (in their opinions of course), someone will see that and specifically change it to appease their tastes. Or that they just wanna bitch about everything that doesn't fit their narrow criteria...

male nudity??? where????? damn i miss all the good action....pouts..:ranty:

I was just using the male nudity as an example because it is one topic that gets the most of such comments. And I agree with milagros that it's simply polite to put a content warning in the subject.

Your comments about UB ticklers vs. foot ticklers is, indeed, also well documented with "why not....?" posts. It just makes no sense.

And yes, Isabeau, there is some naked male tickling on here. I wouldn't be adverse to the idea myself. I'm quite ticklish in MANY places. 😀 LOL!! :2poke:

I like to post my opinion on many different posts whether its positive or negative. if everyone just posted positive things here, this forum would be boring as hell. nothing wrong with adding a little spice or disagreement here.

There's a difference between agreeing to disagree and "I DON'T WANNA SEE THAT SH*T!!!!". It's fine to disagree, but to complain about something just cuz it doesn't fit your preference isn't needed I think.

More of what I'm talking about, posted just today:

http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?t=110896

Is there no way to discourage this? Something like the "No complaining about split files or requesting different video formats" sticky, only one that says "No posting FT requests in UB clip threads"? Seriously, there are plenty of foot clips here; let people go to those threads instead of spamming other clip threads with their "all foot tickling all the time" mentality.

What do you say - isn't it about time to have some kind of policy on this?

Right. no need to be rude and abusive about your disagreements.

Well I just think this is ridiculous. 😀

I think this thread is offensive and disgusting. Warn me next time!!

Definitely NOT my thing.

Shut up you smellbag, I fucking disagree with you you big bastard.

There's no NEED to be rude, but it makes things more fun to read.

Im highly offended by the tone and viciousness of your attack on me. if your goal was to hurt my feelings, you have succeeded. :dropatear

I don't understand it either. If I see something I don't like I click the back button and look at something else.

That damn happy face makes me want to puke, where is are those pit bulls throwing up? Im frankly offended now where was the warning?😱

There's an interesting "other side" to this, as well.

I agree with the original topic here, and do wish there were a way to get people to stop behaving like troglodytes, but there is not. It would be nice if no one showed up in a thread to slam it for no reason or to just get a little attention or "Mommy, mommy! Look! Someone responded to my bad words! Yay for me!"

The best thing everyone can do, far more effective than anything the staff of any message board can do, is to stop paying attention. Yes, it gets your goat when a neat-o thread is up and someone just has to come along and screw with it for some self-absorbed reason or another...but making a serious issue out of it is only giving the troll exactly what they want. Now, I'm not talking about blatent violations and such, but the day-to-day assholism we all have to put up with, even outside of online life. Only when people get to the point that they realize their ramblings and toxic posts aren't going to garner them any attention will they stop bothering.

i can't abide whiners..and nice choice of words there Dave..i wonder, what satisfaction is there to be gained by whining? bringing others down?

For me, I lose respect for anyone who feels the need to resort to foul language - it lowers my view of their intelligence by about two thirds - if you can't say what you want clearly and properly, don't even bother.
