I'm going to look at this tomarrow and get back to you on this. It worries me that outside of California there is a $10,000 extra charge for in case it needs repair.
Very cool- shows some true potential if nothing else. The only negative in looking over their website info. that I readily came up with is taking a longer trip with a car like that. I'm wondering how much you could recharge the thing if you were only pulled over for, say, 20 minutes. A trip of 300 or so miles might require you to, at the very least, stop at a restaurant for an hour and a half . Incidentally, I thought it was a pretty good looking vehicle, too.
Who in the hell needs an electric rocket car? They need to concentrate on getting us an AFFORDABLE electric car so we can get out from under the damned oil prices! Ugh. It's all part of The Great Conspiracy, I tells ya! 🙄
I would not talk too much about this wonderful vehicle. Otherwise some Big Oil people will buy out the patents and rights to build the car, and then shelve it so it can never be built again. This is in order for everybody to buy the current gas-guzzlers the mainstream car companies currently sell so that you will have to keep on buying gas. It's a racket, I tell you...
But then again, if everybody stands behind this car, and buys one, then we all can tell Big Oil to stick it where the sun don't shine...just my two cents...
Don´t know if you saw what they say about the batteries. But I got scared when they say that it´s just like cell phones....hummmmmmmmm
Considering the durability of a regular cell phone battery and considering they recomend keeping the car recharging every night at home...I wonder how much time will the battery stand without being seriously corrupted and with it´s capacity shortened.
My lap top has a litium battery and it took less than 2 years for the battery to get totally out of service (conveniently out of the 1 year warranty). With cell phones I´ve seen even worse numbers depending on the way people charge and re-charge them.
