Having worked the last 18 years in radio, I can honestly say that complaining about music is like complaining about the weather. I make ample use of the volume knob in my studio every morning.
 
I have to say, being a student I'm suspicious of any sweeping statements such as these that appear without any references, especially on the internet. Seems like a load of ballyhoo to me, maybe a couple are accurate but some of it just can't be, particularly the one about the Black Eyed Peas song being more popular than anything Elvis ever did. What a crock of shit.
