They are on a roll. I was getting nervous going into the late innings where they have blown so many leads to the Braves over the years. I like Mike Cameron in CF he will save some hits and consequently runs.

Well guys, sorry to burst your bubble, but as you probably know, the Mets arent going to go 162-0 this year. As some of you who probably know me are aware, I'm a Braves fan, and I quite enjoyed the entertaining games my team played with yours the last couple of nights, especially since Atlanta came out on top! LOL! I guess it was time for Tom to finally beat the Braves on Tuesday. I will admit, he pitched a nice game, while the Braves played like crap. The other two games were like little league games where neither team played well and deserved to win. In all seriousness, it's early yet, and I think the Mets should be improved over last year. As for my Braves, I hope they continue to hit as they have so they can at least get the wild card. It's a long season as we all know, and this is just the very beginning of what will hopefully be an interesting one.

Expansion and pitching...

We've all heard it for years, that expansion could ruin the game, and I hate to say it, but at this point I have to agree. There's just not enough quality pitching to go around a league this big...period. Apparently whatever gods are in charge of creating thunderbolt arms and shrewd brains to operate them are on a strict budget or quota. Everyone is short in this area...even the vaunted 190 million dollar corporation masquerading as a ballclub. Take Rivera out of their bullpen and they're damn near as schlubby and patchwork as the rest of the league.

We've got plenty of competent position players, but pitching...nope.

Pitching wins championships...period.

Good pitching for the most part stops good hitting. Prime example is the Dodgers of 1988. If they didn't have Orel Hersheiser, they don't beat the Mets (which still haunts me to this day)
