18-35 party in Santa Barbara! April 17-20

Hi everyone!

We wouldn't normally bother the entire TMF about one of our parties, but this one is special.

Suppose you're on the wrong side of the country to attend NEST. Or maybe you're just impatient! Or maybe you're most interested in hanging out with tickling folks on the younger end of the spectrum, closer to your own age. Have we got the party for you!

The Northern CA gatherings crowd has rented a house in Santa Barbara over the weekend of <B>April 17-20</B> for an extended sleepover, open to tickling fans ages 18-35. The thread about it is in the General Western Gatherings section: http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?t=146403

We currently have about 10 people committed, and interest from around a dozen more. The house (officially) sleeps 10, so I'm thinking we should cap attendance at no more than about 20. Start planning now, because this is going to be an awesome trip! There are few things better than a whole weekend of tickling + just plain hanging out together, with tickling friends old and new.

This is actually more of a road trip for those of us in the Bay Area. And since there was a lot of interest from Southern California TMFers for a younger folks gathering, meeting at the beach someplace in the middle seemed like a great idea!

We do have munches and gatherings on a very regular basis in SF Bay Area, so if you can't make it to this event, check out the General Western Gatherings forum for announcements of our regular events.

I have to say, I'm really excited about this party. A big group of ticklephiles in a house right on the beach, with a hot tub. What's not to love? 🙂

BButton: glad you can make it! And no, it's certainly not too late. 🙂

NorCali: the house officially sleeps 10, and I figure we can fit in some more on couches and floors (don't tell the management!). A few more people will probably just daytrip from close to home, which brings us to somewhere around 20. But the exact number depends on how many bed sleepers:floor crashers:day trippers we end up with.

More than 20 people have contacted me about this event, but some of those will obviously drop off when it comes time to ask for money. So I'm still thinking there's plenty of room for everyone.

From the Fresno area to the Santa Barbara area it's just a few hours drive!!! Is that really too far?

Maybe you should host a party in your area. I bet you'd get a bunch of folks from all over California to come including folks from the Santa Barbara area, San Diego and up in the Bay area and Sacramento area.

Now... I will NOT be at the Santa Barbara area but I have good reasons...
1.) If you add 18 and 35 that makes 53 and I'm 56+. I'm older than dirt! LOL
2.) I live in Florida! But for many years, when I did live in California (San Jose area and north of there) I flew each year to Philadelphia for NEST and to Albany and such.

I'm 35 and 18 would be my favorite age to tickle. Actually if she had just turned 18 that day, that would be my favorite age to tickle lol But I'm nowhere near there unfortunately.

Part of the reason there is an age range of 18-35 is that many of the younger TMF'ers are uncomfortable with the idea of interacting with older ticklers because it might be creepy. Posts like these don't do a lot to help with concerns like that.

i agree, way to ruin it for the nice, not creepy older guys that want to hang with the younger people, but of course i'm only 25 so i'm not that much older than an 18 year old lol.. or even a 20 year old but yeah.
