1st level feather

Hey everyone!
i just have a question..What's the deal with the 1st level red feather, 3rd level this and that? Just curious. I get tickled a lot and do quite a bit of tickling myself..Do I get a fancy ranking??LOL!😕

But that won't make you a Red Feather; the rankings are based only on the number of posts here.

50-TMF Novice
150-TMF Regular
300-TMF Expert
600-TMF Master (I've always thought women should get TMF Mistress)
1000-1st Level Red Feather
1250-2nd Level Red Feather
1500-3rd Level Red Feather
1750-4th Level Red Feather
2000-1st Level Orange Feather

and so on, with a new color each 1000 posts, and the same four levels each 250 posts within the colors.

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet (the 7 visible light colors) will suffice up to 7999 posts. I don't know what will be used when somebody gets to 8000.

A member with screen name HisDivineShadow has proven that one can rise to the top of these rankings by posting mostly jokes and nonsense, all day long, day after day. So don't take them too seriously.😀

I'd like to think a ranking of the quality of the posts compared to the quantity of the posts would make more sense,,,but then someone or some group would have to rank them, and then that'd open a new kettle of fish ,,,so im shutting up lol Rob

For indication of quality in some areas, you can look at the Golden Feather Awards, which are given after nominating and voting. It is democratic, in that all members of TMF can nominate at most one in each category, and all members of TMF get one vote. 2002 winners found here:

Hey Red, I've visited your site and I'd like to give you a feather... right between the toes, I'd like to give you a feather! And I'd rank you on the quality of your laugh. (Of course, that's just me.) You're very attractive and you have beautiful feet!

It's true that some posts are more trivial than others... but I wouldn't want to be responsible for saying which posts were worthy of counting toward a person getting a feather, and which were simply crap. Most of the people who'd like that job I wouldn't want to have it anyway.

Just like everywhere else in the world, some of the contributors on this site are thoughtful and selective about the quality of their posts, and some other visitors here are probably just doing the best they can with what the Lord gave them.

I don't take anything seriously on this site. Well, except for my logo (a gift from Venray with some input from Ann). I've been here awhile too, but I don't begrudge someone who actively pursues higher ranking feathers just for the sake of having them. I guess 'cause nobody else's rank means a damn to me. I don't guess mine means much to me either, come to that. If they deleted the humor forum I'd still be pretty much the same rank I am now, but I'd have a lot less laughs and inside, I'd be the poorer for that.

Ok guys, thanks for the info! So it's based on posts. Cool!. Since I shut my site down I don't have any url to send pics from but since we've closed the site we've actually taken quite a few new pictures and we were thinking of starting a free Yahoo group to post them just for fun and also to contribute what we can to the tickling community.You guys can let me know if you think that's something you'd like. That way I can post some pics here and who knows, some day, maybe I'll have a fancy rank! LOL!

But to answer your question, Jimmy boy, I like to think of the peace signs as symbols of a more civilized standard of forum communication. One that refuses to stoop to petty name calling, such as that you so ironically displayed above.
