2011 WWE Royal Rumble 01/30/2011

I think it's about time for CM Punk to win the Rumble. Possibly he'll be eliminated, but saved somehow by The Nexus. I have a vision of him being tossed over the top rope by Cena, but he's caught by Mason Ryan, so his feet do not technically touch the floor. Ryan rolls him back in, and Punk eliminates Cena.

They have more then enough people for the Match Lonestar.

*SPOILER*

With other websites now confirming my exclusive story from earlier regarding Kevin Nash being a surprise entry into the Royal Rumble, WrestleZone.com can now follow up with more information on the situation.

Kevin Nash IS confirmed to return to the WWE tomorrow night as a surprise entrant into the Royal Rumble. Additionally, according to one source close to Nash, he has died his hair jet black again which is leading to speculation that he may be using his "Diesel" gimmick again. However, that is not confirmed at this point.

Furthermore, sources within TNA told us today that Kevin Nash did in fact sign a new contract to return to their company earlier this month, but he backed out of the deal as recently as this past week. Some sites are reporting that Nash reneged on the deal due to his belief that TNA office members leaked the story to the media and Nash was unhappy about it. Others are saying it was simply because WWE finally made him any offer.

We have not confirmed at this point whether Kevin Nash's appearance at the Rumble is a one-shot deal or whether this is the start of a long-term agreement between both parties.

Either way, expect Kevin Nash (ala Diesel potentially) to return to the WWE tomorrow night on pay per view. That is, unless Vince McMahon nixes these plans simply because the "dirt sheets" spoiled the surprise.

We recently reported that along with Kevin Nash, Booker T was rumored for this year's Royal Rumble as well. WrestleZone.com can now confirm plans for former WWE and TNA superstar, Booker T, to be another surprise entry into the Rumble. Booker recently cleared bookings he had scheduled this weekend which just added to the speculation that he was WWE bound. We now know that the scheduled plan is for Booker to be another one of the surprise entrants into the Rumble.

If Booker T and Kevin Nash are both in the Royal Rumble tomorrow night, that takes the final count to 36 filled slots out of the 40 available. Triple H is the superstar with the most speculation surrounding his inevitable return to WWE television, but that has yet to be confirmed at this point.

*Spoilers to Royal Rumble pay per view*

Alberto Del Rio to win 40 man rumble

Miz retains wwe title

Edge Retains World Title

Eve wins over top rope contest to win Divas title

The Royal Rumble *just like the WWE* has become a joke . This guy has been in the company for only 6 months and they main event him at WM ? IMO he has not paid his dues and the rumble match should have ended much differently with someone like John Morrison winning it .

A lot can happen between now and WM. I'm sure there will be stipulations and matches to change things. I'm not a huge Cena fan but the way he got eliminated was BS.. and what was with Hornswaggle even being in the Rumble? I had to laugh when Lawler said "Hornswaggle? How can he get anyone over the top rope? He can't even reach the top rope!"

Overall I thought the Rumble was quite entertaining. I especially liked the move Morrison did to keep from being eliminated. At least it was something new. But in the end, imo the Rumble will mean very little. Del Rio will be put in some 3 way with Cena and someone else before WM with outcomes being changed or something along those lines. Remember as Cena was made to leave he went over to Michael Cole and said something like "This isn't over."

HAHAHA shit must be really bad in tna if kevin nash wants to reprise his big daddy cool diesel role.

I thought the Rumble was entertaining. I was surprised Kevin Nash showed up in Diesel garb, since he's been in WWE as Kevin Nash. Given that, I think it was a one night deal, just to fill a spot and get an, "Oh, I remember those days! lol " crowd pop. Same with Booker T. I predicted he'd get in an ax kick, and then a spinneroonie before getting dumped over.

Alberto Del Rio was a shock for me. I knew Santino was gonna wake up and come back in the very end, but when I saw him nail the Cobra, I was like, "No... they can't be serious!" I was relieved to see Del Rio win, instead of Santino. I can't believe WWE almost got me, there, and I'm a little embarrassed that I didn't have more faith! I'm also glad John Cena was eliminated, even if it wasn't clean. I was worried he would have it. We don't really need him undermining Miz/Orton, right now. CM Punk would've been a good one to win, except it would've been predictable, with him being in the number 1 spot. I'd also liked to have seen more Nexus/Corre feuding, but oh well. Finally, I just wanna echo that John Morrison had an awesome save. I like that they're pushing the fact that he does Parkour, but I wish Michael Cole didn't call it Morrison's "Parkour style". It's almost ruining his athleticism and making it out like a gimmick.

Wow. That "Just For Men" must really be workin' for Kevin Nash. :jester:

So when are they bringin' back Stevie Ray and Razor Ramon??

Videos removed, which is a shame. You would think they'd keep them up there, since this definitely inspired me to DVR Raw last night, which I haven't done in months. Of course, once I read that nothing exciting happened, I deleted it, but still. I don't see the big problem.

Anyway, how many other people would have become instant WWE fans again if Santino Marella had won the Royal Rumble? Anyone?

Looks like WWE is preparing the post Rey Misterio era. Del Rio winning the Rumble, and now Mistico being hired.
