On Tuesday, April 20, I have an ordinary day at work and an appointment with my dermatologist.

It is my sincere hope that nobody here on the TMF is celebrating it because of who was born on April 20, 1889.

"420" refers to pot usage, from some criminal code or another in which that's the number referring to posssesion or use of marijuana. Hence, April 20, 4/20, is something of an unofficial holiday amongst those who partake.


Sadly there are people in this country who would consider it less offensive if the day WAS celebrated in honor of Hitler. Oy.

If I hear any Nazis celebrating Hitler I'll give them a good slap. I don't see why people must still hate other groups of people. It doesn't make sense to me. Sure there are people I hate, but just because there is a black or white or chinease guy that I dont like doesnt mean I hate all black/white/Chinease people. nowattamean. Anyways yea im still kindof young so I'll probably grow out of celebration of this day, but not this year. (When i said I had grown up I didn't mean completely 😀 )

SB 420

SB 420 is a bill that was going through the California legislature a few years back as a "medical marijuana registry," back when medical marijuana was legal in California. Of course, recently, the Supreme Court revoked all medicinal use of marijuana, so SB 420 is currently a moot issue. However, when medical marijuana was legal, SB 420 was highly opposed by certain sectors of the public due to the fear that the privacy of medicinal marijuana users would later be targeted by the DEA. When medical marijuana was legal in Oregon, the DEA did exactly this: medicinal users were registered, and the DEA seized the files of these users. In protest of SB 420, the pot-smoking community would smoke up every April 20th, and eventually, it became a joke referring to 4:20 AM or PM. Now that SB 420 is insignificant, only the humor of the movement remains....

It's the date that two sociopaths chose to massacre their young classmates at Columbine High School with assault weapons and homemade bombs.
