(Always lurking and not much posting; however, I thought this was worth it.) 🙂
Not much here I think but an interesting true story relayed to me by one of my best female friends last week.
Last fall, Sara, my best female bud from junior high until present, went through some emotionally difficult times and had to be hospitalized for her emotional condition for a while.
She is fine now; however, what she and her family went through during these episodes was very scary. She was delusional, suffered from memory and time loss as well as outbursts of emotional stress to the point she would not recognize her family or her friends (me).
Twice during these extreme emotional outbursts the police were called for her own safety and she was handcuffed and taken to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation. (72 hour hold) During these evaluations she was isolated in a safety room and according to her, restrained to the bed at times by medical restraints.
Last week during dinner she was telling us what she remembered during the experience and what she was feeling during the episodes and her treatment. She would replay her memories in her head and as she discussed it she would remember more of what happened. Of course I was now really interested in details and she had my full attention.
As we talked she was telling everybody how she was restrained to the bed with her hands down to her sides and in her words “an orderly kept coming in and running his finger up and down the soles of my feet”. Now over the years, I have tickled Sara many times and I know she is really ticklish especially on her feet. I questioned her about this and asked if maybe it was a doctor just checking her reflexes or something and she said no they (Dr) already did that. “He (orderly) kept coming in to check on me or something and would just stop and run his fingers up my feet.” She said she called him a pervert and told him to stop touching her and he just ignored her. She jerked her feet away as far as she could because of the tickling touch but could not get out of his way very well. She said she felt like she was drugged so she was moving in slow motion.
I glanced over at her husband Chuck and her daughter to see what their reaction was and they were rolling their eyes. It was obvious they did not believe her story and just let it go. I’m not sure if it happened either but who knows? She was very detailed in her experience and seemed frustrated no one believed her.
To describe Sarah she is 38, blond about 5-4, very pretty, a sun goddess so she is always tan and worships the art of the pedicure. She has very cute feet (IMO) and I have had fun playing with her toes as friends over the years. She has no idea I have any type of tickle fetish etc so her conversation with me was very honest and innocent in my opinion.
She has fully recovered now and they determined she was suffering from a form of meningitis that caused an inflammation of her brain. She says she never wants to go through that again.
I think I have a picture of he feet somewhere...I will check.
