81st anniversary

June 6, 1944, was D-Day, the day that the American and British forces invaded Normandy.
Here is a photo of one returning veteran, Wally King, now 101 years old, at the grave of his friend who died in combat following that invasion.

Reg Gutteridge who was a UK boxing commentator lost his leg in the landings.

But when I'm vacation, he used to "shit people up" at the beach and go shark shark! The old wag.
