Bugman I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there are laws against running red lights and people do it there are those who run stop signs and speed , no matter what laws you have do you think EVERYONE will ALWAYS obey them ? I was a police officer for 20 years and you will always have those who will disobey a law.
Many states have one man police cars they get involved in a high speed chase and use the radio with one hand to talk to the dispatcher while driving at speeds over 100 miles an hour , NYC saw this as wrong as well there is a law here for the cops if a perp runs you let him go no highspeed chase is allowed and there are no one man cars here. There will unfortunately always be things to watch for when you drive.

I'm glad there is a province-wide ban on texting and cell phone use while driving where I live. This is something that goes way beyond obnoxious. It's dangerous and unnecessary.

Oh, I know its going to happen. Still, I'd rather have a law on the books, it might make some people think twice at least.
