Purbeck that was a pretty cool clip. It looks old, what year was this ? Whose the English actress ? The clip was cut off shortly after the husband came home, I wonder how it ended ? Any info.

I remember seeing this at the time - I would have been about 11, I think. I found it again recently and posted it here too. Mavis Riley is one of Coronation Street's most iconic characters, and although this scene is played for laughs I'm quite certain her squeaks, squeals and flinches are genuine.

Thanks bud, I always appreciate the positive feedback! The Selena Scott clip was the stuff of folklore, and I'm so glad it was found again recently. It still withstands the rest of time too!

I actually recorded North to Alaska just for that scene and forwarded through until that scene. I like to think that there were multiple takes to complete it!

There is another English clip from a show called game for a laugh where they took someone out the audience and put them in stocks..Would really love to see that clip again I've searched everywhere
