any body else find it a little odd they picked an Australian for the lead of what is such an uber-American movie?

That being said, from the previews, i'm really not liking it. I was a fan of the original, and it looks like they've just made another action flick. Of course, i'll have to wait until i get around to seeing it to really be sure of my views on it.

Nah. I wanted to be an extra in the Avengers movie, but they went to Cleveland shortly before filming due to a switch made about tax breaks.

Damn.

I found it to be a dumb film back in it's 80's cold war context. And now an even dumber one today.

On the other hand it can't be worse then stuff like Battleship. Still it's a remake that didn't need to be done.
