a question about cigars....

it depends on the blend of tobacco in the cigar. you're not simply going to die if you inhale cigar smoke into your lungs, from any cigar. cigars are made to be sipped, as Mimi said like wine and the smoke blown out. The nicotine is absorbed through the mouth. if you inhale cigar smoke, and the smoke is strong you will cough your ass off. funny you mention this because a friend inhaled a big mouthfull of cigar smoke and coughed for literally 10 min. some cigars are less harsh.

I've been a cigar and pipe connoiseur for many, many (entirely too damned many) years.
It depends on the size and type of cigar.

Inhaling a petit corona (about 4 inches long by a 28 ring size) of a brand classed as mild (like Te Amo or Flor De Jalapa) is roughly equal to chain smoking 5 filter tip Carlton all the way down to the filter.

Inhaling a Canone (about 9 inches long by a 60 ring size) of a brand classed as extra strong (Like Punch or Ghurka) is about as bad as chain smoking four packs of non-filtered Camels or Chesterfields all trhe way down to burn your fingers if you take one more puff territory.

If you're not used to it, either one will give you a coughing fit that will take a long time to quiet down, if you inhale them. There are all kinds of levels in between those two extremes. In general, it is a very, very bad idea to inhale cigars. I never do. It ain't macho- it's just stupid.

and Dussicar;

Hey Mastertank I am curious, what exactly is it meant by not inhale it, not to swalow the fumes?, because if you do not suck the cigar to get some air through, how does it burn?

Well, I think Strider already answer my question, so are Cuban "montecristo" good, the ones Kennedy and Al Pacino character in "Scent of a woman" smoked?

Montecristo are a cigar on the mild side of medium strength, and they use a consistent blend for filler. I feel the blend they use is a bit harsh and has a bitter undertaste and a bite that are both way excessive for such a pricey product. They are a very acquired taste. They are available in a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors of wrapper. (The color of wrapper has a huge effect on the taste of a cigar).

I've been lucky

In finding a local (1 block away!) tobacconist who makes an absolutely delicious chocolate/bourbon flavored blend called 'Kingship', which sells for only $2 per ounce.
Among commercially available tobaccos, I'm partial to several products in the MacBaren line;'
Navy Flake (some of my best friends are Navy flakes)
Plum Cake
Early Morning Pipe
Evening Pipe
Dark Twist

Good aromatic tobaccos from other manufacturers include;
Rum and Maple
Half and Half
Sugar Barrel
Country Doctor

For non-flavored, I prefer a blend of 75% Latakia/25% Perique in a riff cut.

For pipes, I like meerschaums and aged briars, in full bent shapes, with the bowl in the style called apple.

Lighting up with wooden matches seems to taste better than using a lighter.
