Have you ever been out in public & a complete stranger has commented to you about your feet? And did they ask you if they were ticklish?

If so what was your reaction? were you surprised, liked the compliment, or some other emotion.

The only time I had ever been asked if I was ticklish, was when I was on the el going home for the weekend from college and this guy sat next to me and struck up a conversation.

Out of nowhere he asks "Are you ticklish?"

And no, I didn't really get excited or anything. I was actually kind of nervous since I had no idea who this guy was.

After a slight pause, thinking what I should say, I said "No" and switched train cars.

Good move. Your fellow passenger sounds like a creep.

Intriguing isn't it though, this story really highlights the importance of style and approach. I mean we often hear people lamenting the fact that they can't "find girls who are into tickling", but in this case an active member of a tickling website would reply that she wasn't ticklish to an out of no where question like that. I don't know if I would say that the guy was a creep based on the only evidence that he struck up a conversation, and asked out of no where if someone was ticklish, but it does demonstrate how one must be generally careful of their approach to subjects like this. Creep or not he probably lacked social skills, and that's probably the problem who say they don't know how to bring up tickling have to some extent or the other. Just like sex, its not a hard target to talk about but its no good to jump on the train and say "hi, how are you, what gives you mind blowing orgasms" Unless your just that guy that can pull that off. I've felt very in the zone before after a performance or something but even being in the zone doesn't make up for common sense.

yeah that is a bit odd. i wouldn't be comfortable if someone approached me out of the blue like that.

How about out of the red, or the orange?

It could have just been a inocent question, too..........

.......or some kind of class study, who knows, I agree with one thing it is weird!

And no!.................... It wasn't me on the el, if anyones asking........

No stranger has asked if they were ticklish. Those who've asked already knew the answer to the question.

But, I do get strangers compliment my feet a lot. Sometimes it's just to say, "oh look how little and cute they are!" (that's kind of embarassing, like they think I'm a little kid...) Sometimes, it's to compliment my high heels or my foot enhancements (I have many different kinds) like my toe rings. I like it, I work hard to keep them pretty, why not take the compliment and say "thank you!" :redheart:
XOXO
