A question for the TMF ladies(flip-flops).

You know, as with many other fellow foot fetishests, I love seeing women in flip-flops. I love the flimsy design, the way it reveals those wonderful soles with every step while walking behind them...So sexy.

Two days ago in a mall, I was doing just that. A young woman was walking hurriedly past me when I was meandering through looking for a store that caught my fancy.

She was attractive and petite. Her soles looked soft and beautiful. Of course, I began to look. "What a lucky guy to have her." I thought as she blew past me, thinking about her probable boyfriend.

Snap, snap ,snaping as she walked away. I began to listen to that distinguished sound. Taking it in.

Snap.

I watched her sole.

Snap.

I watched the other one.

Snap.

Okay, this is getting a little loud.

Snap.

I can hear it echoing through the mall.

Snap.

Um. Don't suppose you could walk a little more slowly?

Snap.

Jesus, don't you own loafers or something?

My question to you ladies out there is: How in god's name can you wear those damned noisey things all day, every day and NOT go batshit insane?????

Mine aren't loud because I don't wear the flip flops with nothing to them that it feels like you're walking on the ground. I hate those kind. My flip flops are about an inch and a half thick and make no such sound. However, that sound does surface when going down steps.

I have never once thought of the noise my flip-flips make....and I practically live in mine, no joke.

Thats the beauty of living in the southwest....you can nealy wear flip flops and sandals year round 😉

I actually can't wear them, or any sandal with the thing part that goes in between the big toe and 2nd toe, it bothers the heck out of me, and it tends to hurt when I try to walk. It really sucks too, since there are a ton of really cute styles out there, but most of them have that thing between the toe, so I get screwed out of wearing the ones that I want to wear, and have to settle for just normal slides instead. ​

Your probably better off. ive read flip flops are probably the worst shoe to wear for your feet as far as health reasons. but as a guy who worships seeing women in them, i still condone wearing them daily!

I'm always appreciative of girls who have on flip flops, and they are showing off nicely taken care of feet.
I can not manage to wear them, because they fall off. For me, they just don't look right.
I love sandals. I have strappy sandals in pink, silver, black, brown, navy, white...ect.
I like variety.....they are not all the same syle...but for me, they just look better. Flip flops cost almost nothing at most stores though. Sandals are more expensive. Sandals also go with all my summer outfits.
I don't know, I just like them more.

I always thought that high heels/stiletto's made more noise than flip flops.

Have to agree with that GDIT, I can't be doing with going around in footwear thats totally flat, nope, I love to walk about barefoot but with footwear I have flip flop types with a bit of a wedgy going on 🙂

Although my favourite footwear is underknee high heeled boots (sorry foot fetishists, but thats what I dig and some strappy sandles) 😛

I absolutely LOVE my flip flops. I have short legs so I don't walk that fast but I never think about them making a noise. I guess too busy watching whats going on around me. They are so comfy and easy on and easy off. I think the noise is a good trade off. The noise probably wouldn't be so loud and annoying if you weren't really paying attention. Just a guess.

I'd never thought about it either, then again i usually wear an anklet of bells so maybe that drowns out the sound. Real shoes are for suckers anyways, I wear flip-flops in the dead of winter.

I agree with Slap on the wedgee thing... I like them with just a little height to them, somehow they don't make as much noise that way. I can't wear the cheapy flimsy ones much, they make my feet hurt... no cushion or whatever... but I do love my Reefs for the beach... although I need a pair with a thinner strap so I can get rid of the damn tan lines...
I love the ones with the wider straps for everyday wear though, keeps them from sliding around too much...
I think a worse sound than the flapping is the scrape and slide though, like when someone is too lazy to pick up their feet.. drives me nutty... well, even more nutty than usual... 😉

The wedge bugs me - maybe just because I'm not comfortable more than an inch off the ground. 😛 Also I can't deal with rigid shoes. I like the classic flip-flops from J. Crew - thin, flexible, and just cushiony enough.

You might like these. This strap arrangement fixed that problem for me. Good support, too.
