Hello all. Although this is already in a sticky, I believe it bears reposting for single guys attending their first NEST, especially ones with egos or preconceived notions of how fetish conventions really are. I had to learn the hard way. Maybe this post can spare new guys some pain.
"I remember reading this guide before my first NEST and thought "I can dig it". Of course, I was thinking "as tough as it is to find women who love to be tickled, this should be a tickle smorgasbord!" Being reasonablyte\sexy, I was sure gals would be lining up to feel the wrath of my digits. Needless to say with that attitude, I did not happen and I was a bit frustrated. We share a fetish that is unique to say the least. Many think it is weird, childish, or not a real fetish compared to some of the other kinks. I did not ask to be born with this , and how I got into it is irrelevant, but finding a lee', especially where I am (Tennessee), is very tough. I thought NEST was going to be tickle heaven, especially for this rocker stud.
But what I almost missed was some great times, new friendships, and I did get to tickle a few in the end. Lee actually tickled me, and I enjoyed it. I am not a lee', but once I got over my own ego s#it, I had a really good time. I went back in 2010 and had a good time. Unrealistic expectations are premeditated resentments, and me thinking that female lee's are going to just let me play with them almost turned into a wasted trip, but I luckily caught myself in time.
I think many male ler's get frustrated by female nervousness when it comes to being tickled. Whether through Fetlife, Craigslist, or even the TMF personals, I have had females lee's talk once or twice and then back away. I have even thought about tickling guys a time or two just to tickle SOMEONE. But let's face it. The world is a Snickers bar, it is chock full of nuts. There has to be a courtship of sorts before anything happens, no matter how you look or act. Today I can dig it. If I do not get to tickle at NEST this year, I will still have a good time. I don't drink or party, but I do not need social lubricant when around my fellow friends of the feather, and that is worth the price of admission."
Now that being said, me and my partner can make sure every guy gets a tickle in. There are other couples who allow single men to have a go at their partner, as long as you are not a creep. The overall cost of the event warrant that no one goes home without a little tickle time, so we make sure we all get to play.
Oh, and by the way, I still feel sexy, even as I get older. 🙂
