a tickling reality show in the us: do you think it would work?

As much as i hate most new based reality tv shows theses days! (the only ones that i like is pretty the amazing race and fear factor)

But it still got me thinking. do you think that a tickling reality tv based show could work here in the united states?

i mean given the right circumstances and lee way to whom ever would pick up the rights to produce a show like that for viewers to turn into every weekday or weekend. or do you think a idea like that would just crash big time in the ratings department?

No matter how wonderful it sounds to us, there is no way that the general population would stay interested in a show that centered around tickling. It might, MAYBE, get by being used once as a stunt on Fear Factor or the like, but never as a recurring theme. It would be like starting a show based solely on spanking people and seeing how long they could take it. At first people would watch because it was sexual, but eventually they would get tired of seeing the same punishment used over and over (unless they had a fetish). What could work however...is a reality show themed tickling vid. Might be good material, who knows? They had Miss Tickle USA, perhaps a company could produce a "Ticklish Survivor" or something like that. Appeal to our community where this stuff is appreciated the way it should be hehe 😉

That type of show would appeal to the 10000+ people that visit TMF and other tickling sites but not much farther...now I would watch, again and again and again...probably the only time in my life I want to catch a re-run(LOL).

Yeah, this idea has merit as a tickling video and could be a good idea, but the more models a video has the more the video would cost.

Hey, personally, I'd watch the damn show, but it's probably not going to go over with the general populace...

I know it's hard to imagine that someone else doesn't have the same feelings about tickling. Not long ago, an ex-girlfriend from high school showed up out of the blue like I always knew she would. Anyway, she asked me to help her come up with a name for her new consulting business. She hated all my ideas so I just started saying shilly sit. I decided to name off drinks from The Hard Rock Cafe's menu. So I said "How about Pinkled Tink?!"

She hated that idea too. How do non-ticklephiles exist? I don't understand it 😀

Unfortunatly it would not work. Nowhere near enough viewers to keep it going. There may be alot of us but not THAT many.

Wouldn't mind seeing the Pilot though.

Well there might not be enough of just people into tickling, but what if the show featured all sorts of fetishes? That'd have alot more people watching then, I'd think.

I have found through my years online (since i have had internet access that is) and in real life. that most people that aren't into Tickling have either

A. had bad expieriences with tickling when they we're growing up and when they were younger and little

B. there just very close minded towards any type of fetish that a person might have (because they either don't like trying new things or they don't wanna learn about that persons fetish they could care less)

and personally i'm nither in opinion B. i will accpect any fetish that a person has (as long as it doesn't involve any killing of people or animals 😡 ) but other then that i'm open minded and will accept that person for who they are as a person Fetish and all (weather they have a farting fetish a foot fetish etc....) it's all good and ok with me. sadly most people aren't that way and don't think the way i do about Fetishes and accpecting them

I have to agree with the people who say it wouldn't fly, and I say that whether it's about tickling or about fetishes in general. If you look at the reality shows that are on, most of them are about time-honored American traditions: roughing it in the wilderness, marrying rich people for their money, oogling over babes in bathing suits, and the like, and on the one show I can think of that even features gays prominently, they're there to provide their stereotypical fashion and design expertise to good-ole mainstream heteros. People don't turn on reality shows to learn anything new.

Actually, tickling did make a cameo in the reality TV world a couple of years ago. On this show that was about a bunch of women who were vying for the chance to marry (for his money) a man they thought was a millionaire, it was revealed that one of these seemingly respectable women on this respectable prime-time show had done, horror of horrors, foot-tickling bondage videos some years earlier, and the reaction was "oh my god what a scandal!"

So neah, no tickling reality show in the cards. Nice thought, though.
