A Wonderful Time At NEST!

As we drove back home to NYC from Philly, all Jill and I talked about was our wonderful weekend at NEST! We loved meeting everyone, as well as being able to indulge and realize our fantasies. Jan and Max were fantastic hosts, and it would be extremely difficult to find a more gracious, warm and friendly group than the folks we partied with at NEST. Thanks again for a really great time!!

I got back home today. As a first-timer, I can only say that it was beyond any most optimistic expectation. It was almost surreal: like an eye-opened dream, with the "advantage" that it was, indeed, real and happening RIGHT THEN, RIGHT THERE, ALL AT ONCE.
Max and Jan organized an unforgettable event (ok, it happens every year, I know) with evident and outstanding passion.
I met great people and had an incredible time. I will miss you. I commit to take part to the next one, though (I guess NEST is well known to be addictive, right?).
Finally, the TMF board is framed in a more complete and fulfilling perspective.

Thanks for making NEST real.

See y'all in a year (-1 day).

Last night, after we went to bed, the Miz and I had our real, honest-to-goodness first in-depth conversation about tickling in general, my feelings about it, and hers. I mean, we always DID it, more or less, but she talked to me in regards to conversations she had with other NESTers yesterday, the things they told her, stuff like that, and I opened up about the things I have talked to you folks about. Needless to say, like I posted on the other side, we both had a wonderful time yesterday.

One of the joys of attending NEST is seeing Jan Weaver. She's one of the sweetest, nicest people I know on this planet, a woman whose natural talent is for making people feel good about themselves...and it's one that's so rare. Much love, Jan. It's also special seeing Bella, who I missed last year. Bella's as bright a light as there is out there, her joy for living and her intelligence attract as flowers do for the bees. There's the group of folks we always hang with, of course, like Tklduo and the Venrays, and the Kwil-Lites and the lk70s of the world, they make it all worthwhile, every time.

Ticklishgiggle flew in for this. So many other people couldn't, but she came. Which is absolutely fantastic. It was great seeing her there. At one point, she and Jeff joined us and Tklduo to get a smoothie at some coffee shop nearby. Along the way, we passed by some street performer doing God knows what kind of tawdry magic, and Jeff said that he saw the same guy doing the same thing in Cambridge, which I thought was hilarious. The coffee shop owner put like forty six different varieties of fruit into a blender with ice and made a bunch of them for us...no sugar added, just fruit. Great on a humid day...

I'm very, very much gratified that we had such a great crowd yesterday, a stupendous group of people that I'm looking forward to seeing next year. You're all great!

I thanked most people already in my last post but it was really great to meet such a diverse crowd and still have this strong bond between us. My only regret from this NEST is that I didn't get a chance to visit with you and Mrs Knox!!! After enjoying your posts and responses for years I almost felt like I was seeing you two through your own words!! I so wanted to spend more time with you - I personally find you inspirational. BAH!!
