a wrestling thread from someone who hasn't watched it in a very very long time

ok...so on one side of the fence there are those who think that wrestling is entertainment (i.e. like a movie or television series) and on the other there are those that think its a sport (i.e. football (american or otherwise),baseball,basketball etc)...i figured ya'll can debate that here so that Krokus's thread doesn't get inundated with all of that chatter about whats a sport and what isn't...just my two sense from lil old me...hope ya enjoy.

I appreciate the thought of this, giggleygirl25. I have always looked at wrestling like a sport. Sure, it may be fixed, but the skill of pulling off the moves with care and finesse is something that is priceless in the buisness. Just look at guys like Hulk Hogan and the Rock....sure, they are entertaining, but they really only know how to do maybe 3 or 4 moves nicely. I mean, the Rock can't even do the Sharpshooter halfway decent! Guys like Bret "Hitman" Hart and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels.....along with others like Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit...the list goes on and on. Those guys can wrestle, and they prove it night after night. They put on a show, and they make it look good. Thats what matters to me the most, and I respect the hell outta those guys.

-All in all, I love pro wrestling, and will follow it till' the day I die.

It's both. There is a real level of competition in pro wrestling and yet it's jazzed up for purely entertainment purposes.
