for those of u who know, in the movie, where is sloan tickled? some say feet, but wasn't she wearing boots? can someone give explination where they think the tickling took place and if it was her feet how could that be? me and my friends are arguing about this scene lol.

wow i never knew thier was a tickling scene in ferries beuller Days off:wow:? But that a side this is one Great movie. i'll have to pick it up on dvd since im sure you can get it cheap now in the $10 Dollar $15 Dollar rang 🙂

how can you forget Weekend at Bernies😀 gotta love the 80's haven't seen Weekend at Bernies 2 yet though
 
I always thought he was tickling her knees. From what you can see of the way he reaches out, it looked to me like he was squeezing her knees. I can't remember if she was wearing boots or not, but she definitely wasn't barefoot. It didn't look at all to me like he was tickling her feet in that scene. I always thought that was wishful thinking. 🙂
 
😀 If I recall correctly, either the mainstream list or the ticklish celebrity section here mentions that scene. I believe it ststes that Mia,the actress who played Sloane, said that Matthew tickled her foot in the cab to make her laugh for the knee squeeze sound and look better.

see, by her reaction, i would guess feet. because her reaction just seems like a foot tickle to me for some reason, and it does say that he tickled her feet. but if she was wearing shoes or boots, how could that be?
 
😀 Perhaps they edited so you can't see Matthew and the other guy remove her boots and socks. 😀
 
I think this movie is available on DVD. has anyone checked the extras? It's probably not on there, or surely someone would've posted about it by now.

Does Mia Sara have a website? Maybe she could be reached by email, or a FAQ section.
 
In the book, it mentions her knee. In the film, he appears to reach up to her knee. And supposedly back then, in Teen Beat magazine or some such, the knee tickling was mentioned. I think it might even be mentioned in one of the Mainstream Lists.....

For my two cents, I always thought it was her knees, since she is wearing boots, but not only that, but even her reaction. She is screaming, laughing and flailing about the back of that cab. I couldn't picture that scene as her foot being tickled, since I've found it very hard to tickle a moving foot. Now, if her knees aren't ticklish, I could see how they would have had to tickle her foot to make that scene.

Still a great scene, and a classic film.
 
I must agree with the consensus here and say it was her knees (legs). The director, in his commentary on the dvd, only says that the scene was real, and that Matthew gave her "quite a good goosing!" No mention of feet. Hope this helps.

I echo that sentiment...

From what I remember (a long time ago, now), in an interview with Mia a couple of years after the film's release, she stated that Matthew Broderick was tickling her feet in that scene to get her to laugh.

Guess she was unshod at the time of the shoot.

Mia Sara also get tickled in the cable t.v. film "Big Time". Once when she's in bed with a guy and he grabs her waist,and once when her husband pulls off a sock and sucks her big toe.
 
Thanks for reminding me....

I was laughing so hard in the movie the people around me thought I was on something (I think I was to a small degree now that I think of it). I don't remember that scene.
