A lot of people here have asked me if I have done tickling 'sessions' in the past. I thought getting tickled should count as a 'session', but apparently, a lot of them say it is not. Some people's ideas of a session involve being tied down for hours and being tickled non-stop, which I think is very much not practical.

So now, here's what - My ex (who I have hinted about, not as ex but just as a friend in my bio) is in town for the weekend, and I'll be meeting him tomorrow (we went away as he had to move to a different city for his studies, but we are still on very good terms). Now it's obvious what will happen tomorrow.

I have read some very interesting 'True Tickling Stories' on this website. Should I write down what happens tomorrow and whoever reads it can let me know if that is what a 'session' is?
 
I think they say that because you only tolerate tickling for seconds at a time, right? I don't know the exact length of time for it to be a session, but my thinking is a session is probably at least a half hour minimum devoted to tickling, or at least I'm guessing that's what it is for many people.

That's true! I mean I can voluntarily take the tickling only for a few seconds with great effort before I move away unless I am being held down. And yes, you are right about it - but half an hour of continuous tickling is impossible for me to handle, maybe even unsafe lol

And not that I blame you! I volunteer for zero seconds 😆 I think you should be tickled however long you want.

Firstly, I’ll say that a session is whatever you want it to be. While everyone has their opinions on this (and they likely vary wildly), there are no gatekeepers or tickle police! If you’re having safe, consensual fun, you’re doing it the right way. If you want any kind of formal definition at all of a session, my thought is that what separates a session from a non-session is merely a planned period of time intended for tickling play. That’s it. Just like a gym session, or any other kind of session. The time, intensity, and specifics will vary depending upon the goals and interests of those involved. Don’t let others determine what tickling and tickling sessions mean to you.

I hope your upcoming experience is fun, and I also hope that you write about it if you feel inspired to do so. However, I hope you don’t do it for acceptance or anything like that—I hope you do it to share with those that can appreciate it for what it is and to reflect on your own experience in a special way. From all of your messages so far, you sound very sweet, very ticklish, and a treat to tickle. Short or long, session or not, anyone who gets to play with you is very blessed. I hope you have a great time!

I've never thought of a time minimum for a session, as for me, the idea of tickling for hours even as the ler is a bit silly, as I'm likely to get turned on to the point of needing a release if I'm tickling my wife after a max of 10-15 minutes. If there was no consent for such activity, I'd need a break to cool down probably. I've never had a "platonic" session and I've been monogamous with my wife for 13 years, so my experience is admittedly limited.

To me I define a "session" more by intent. When I pinch my wife's waist walking by her, that's not a session to me. When I pin her to the bed with the full blown intent to make her squeal, that's a session to me even if she safewords in 30-60 seconds. On my birthday when she holds out as long as she possibly can and lets me come back again and again, that is also a session.
 
I view a "session" as a date of sorts with an agreed upon time and meetup location. The nature of the session often takes on its own form organically. Sometimes there's more discussion and laid back discourse, whereas other times it's a more tickle-intensive experience. I find it best to let the chemistry build.

I see, that would mean I have surely had lots and lots of such 'sessions' and I agree with you - it takes a LOT of will power to control and remain focused only on the tickling LOL

I thought that would be what a session would mean, but then some people here had me confused but I am glad that my idea of a session was not so wrong after all haha

I feel that anytime two people acknowledge tickling no matter how brief or involved, counts as a session.
