Acne scars

Anyone around here have acne scars? I'd especially like to know if you've had any luck with treating them. I've been off accutane for over 5 years now, but I'm tired of looking at the scars.

One of my aunts had severe acne scars, and she had some success in having them removed by a dermatologist using a process called dermabrasion.

You should consult a dermatologist, and ask to see before and after pictures of previous patients, so that you have realistic expectations of what can be done. (My aunt's face looked a lot better after the dermabrasion, but the scars were not 100% gone.)

Actually I'm going to have a "cool touch" laser treatment tomorrow; there's no recovery time associated with it. But I'm skeptical as to how well it will work.

The laser treatment may work great for ya... Accutane can be successful or a face altering disaster. As a frequent body piercer/repiercer, there are some great OTC cures for light scarring~Mederma,or (don't laugh now) the On Seen TV Scarzone works wonders if you follow the directions...

Acne scars? I had em and they were great for me in the long run. Yes you heard me correctly...you see when you age those scars will assimilate better into your skin. Then you will have skin like Tommy Lee Jones or Robert Davi and from what I understand the ladies go wild for both those guys. Just be patient and let nature take its course giving you a rugged comlplexion, youll be thankful for it, trust me! 😀

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm hoping that no matter what happens I get more comfortable with the scars over time.
