Advice for home-built stocks?

Hi everyone!
I built a set of wooden stocks to lock my partner into. They're certainly sturdy enough...
But I don't know the best way to affix nice-looking padding to the ankle slots. Any advice?
 
Just gwt a heavy duty stapler from a hardware store. Put the padding in, cover with fabric and stable to the outer flat parts of the stocks.
 
Just need to make sure the fabric is smooth enough (maybe leather is a good choice) so that your ticklee does not chaff their skin with all the wild movements I am sure your planning to induce 🙂 If using leather, then you might need some kind of tacks if staples not sturdy enough
