The main BDSM club in New York is Paddles. My first suggestion would be that you go to
http://www.paddlesnyc.com and, while you're exploring that website, click the link that says "Yahoo Club" and then proceed to join the Yahoo group.
Of course, a lot of what goes on at Paddles is the hard-core stuff. If you think of tickling as soft-core and whipping as hard-core, then you might say that the "intermediate" core is spanking. Paddles has a spanking group which meets the first Saturday of every month, having dinner at 5:30 at the Moonstruck Diner on 9th Ave. at 23rd St., and then walking up to the club which is on 26th St. just east of 8th Ave., for the party that runs 7-10. The main event at Paddles starts at 10 on Friday and Saturday nights.
And there's even more. Wednesday nights, there's what they call "hump night," which simply means that Wednesday is the hump of the week. It opens at 8 and costs a bit less to get in.
"All well and good," I hear you ask, "but when's this guy going to get to the point, and tell me where and when the
tickling action is?" Good question. And the answer to that good question is, good luck. I used to make the quip a few years ago, with reference to the NYC tickling scene, "If I'm their leading organizer, they're in trouble." What I used to do, before I moved to Baltimore, was organize informal munches, just evenings of dinner and hanging out with fellow TMF members. Those went well, actually. The men outnumbered the women, and last time there were no women, but usually there were an average of two women and about five or six men. I've never seen tickling activities come together in New York. What I would suggest that you do is set up a munch on a Wednesday night when you know Paddles is going to be open, to have dinner at like 6 and go to Paddles at 8. But here's the key: Don't worry about whether it results in tickle partners for yourself. Just make it a social night out and see where things go from there. The bottom line is, while New York has loads of ticklephiles, it has no organized tickling activity whatsoever, and the only way you're going to see any is if you make yourself the organizer and build up from square one. Paddles Hump Night is a golden opportunity. It's the water. All you have to do is lead some horses to it and see if they'll drink.
