I know I'm going to feel like a complete tard, but I just started an album, adding the three pix the applet seems to allow for. Everything worked just boffo — only now I can't figure out how to add more pix to the set! Going to "Edit Group" or "Edit Pictures" doesn't seem to lead anywhere, and visiting the link down below for "Add to Group" only informs me that I'm not a member of any groups. :helpsmilie:

Hey Rick Tibbler

Obviously I'm not an Admin or mod but maybe I can help!

Here's how I do it

Click the "All Albums" option in the bar that list other options...("Arcade", "new posts", "search", etc)

Click on your album...

You should be at a page that displays the title, description of your album and all of your submitted pics...

Look for your album title, (in your case "A Gallery of Owls). Above the title should be the words... "Upload pictures"

Click that and the rest should be self explanatory!

Or maybe you should make another album... 😀

TT did say some stuff as to some features would be taken away... one of my albums held 60 photos, and when I made another album, it shows it can only hold 30... your problem might be a result I guess... :huh
 
You know, of course, that you are only feeding my latent paranoia now, right?

I kid. I suspect it IS indeed some sort of issue with features that have been dropped in an attempt to discover the cause of certain bandwidth drops of late. If that is the case, then it's all for the better good, and the owl portfolio can wait...
 
Well first, no one should be using ticklephile.com anymore... :stickout

However, no, the Album uploading was not anything I disabled or changed in anyway recently. You are getting that message because when you click Add to Group it is trying to add pictures to a Social Group which you are not currently a member of any right now.

You should be able to click your username in the navigation area, next to the Mood selector, and it'll take you to your user profile page. Then click on either of the two albums you have setup. In the upper-left corner right above the current pictures in the album you should have an Upload Pictures link like Fmilling was showing you.

I uploaded a screenshot and circled where it should be in your album, and please make note of the URL and ensure it matches. (I uploaded how it looks on my album because the link won't appear unless you are logged in the actual account of the profile.)
 
Well, here's a screen-save from this morning. I've switched from ticklephile, and yet there is still no link to adding more owls. ::weeps at the bitter injustice of it all::
 
Okay, so...just fiddling around this morning, I've found that:

  • I can still add photos to my other, older albums
  • I still CANNOT add to any new albums(past the three picture limit)
  • Deleting and starting an album over is of no use, either.

This leads me to surmise that "something" has been done since I posted those older albums that needs to be undone, and it's not something that I can figure out on this end. :huh
 
It has nothing to do with modifications. You have, instead, reached the limit for album pictures. Note how many are in your public albums:

14
17
97

The maximum number of Album pictures is 100 and, with the three in the album you're screencapping, you reach that limit. We would need to raise this limit before any more pictures could be uploaded. I have no idea of the bossman's position on this; if he deems it fine to raise it then we can.
 
Oh, sure. It sounds all logical and reasonable when you put things that way. It would...coming from an agent of the anti-owl conspiracy!!!

How can I make an album? When I go to my User CP, I don't see the link for "Add Albums & Photos" that the FAQ suggests should be there. When I go to "All Albums" and click "Add Album," I get a page that says I don't have permission to add an album. Can anyone help?
 
You have to have been registered 30 days (which you have been) and have over 100 posts before albums become available. Reaching that milestone puts you in the Advanced Member group and unlocks a few benefits, Albums and increased PM storage limit being two.
