Alls I gotsta say is...

With nothing else he could do about it Sunday afternoon, Romo smacked his hand against a wall in frustration.

Yep...looks like the media circle jerk for the Cowboys' hosting a Super Bowl looks like an epic fail.

Hey...Kansas City is 2-0 :bounce:

I just wanna know who the hell started that stupid ass rumor, win a playoff game and we're ready to host a super bowl?!

JUST MAKE THE DAMN PLAYOFFS!

Dallas is just one of those teams that I like to see lose. Miles Austin is on my fantasy team and he is the only one doing well, so it works out perfectly for me!

That would be the ULTIMATE HOMER Tickle Fiend. He told everyone they were Super Bowl bound because they won a playoff game last year. I guess because the Jets won two playoff games last year that means they will be in the Super Bowl for the next five years 😛

Hey, it's early yet. Imagine how silly everyone on this thread will feel if Dallas can get things going in the right direction (maybe trying to run the ball, for instance?). Things change fast in the NFL and it's important to take the long view. They have time to correct the mistakes they've made.

They go to Houston next week followed by a bye week. Then it's:
vs. Tennessee
@ Minnesota
vs. New York Giants
vs. Jacksonville

If they can get things going, that might put them at 3-4 going up to Green Bay. That's the start of the second half when they'll have to play New Orleans, Indy, and the divisional games. They will have to be playing to their full potential by then to get in.

It's going to be a hard road, but it is doable. But they're really going to have to, at minimum, take 3 out of the next 5 and then be playing like champs to have a chance.

Looking back on all this, wasnt it someguy who played for Dallas, he was a reicever....I cant remember his name, but because he dared questioned the princeton genius mind of Jason Garrett (something everyone is doing now) and when he did, we just couldnt wait to jump on him, talk about how his skills are deminishing, he's more trouble than he's wroth, and get him on the first thing out of Dallas smoking so we could be so much better?

I wish I could think of his name...oh well it'll come to me.

Nah, I won't feel silly at all actually. I always love busting on Cowboys fans. Notice how not one has made any sort of comment to this thread. Cowboys fans are like cockroaches. They only come out and pump out their chests when they're winning. When they're losing, you can't find any Cowboys fans. I support my teams through thick and thin, no matter how tough things get. You couldn't find any Cowboys fans in the early 2000's and in the late 1980's when they were losing. That's why I can't stand Cowboys fans. They're all "fair weather" fans. All I heard in the off season was about how the Cowboys were going to be the first team in NFL history to HOST a Super Bowl. That's why I find it so funny that they're 0-2 and are already having dissension in the locker room.

HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It may be early and I agree with you, but where is Fiend when his team is going bad? You don't hear shit from him about Nielson Ratings right now, do you? You don't hear how great the Cowboys are. He is probably under his bed hoping it is a bad dream and that it will all go away. You don't hear ANYTHING!

Just like Maniac after his team lost to the Giants in the Super Bowl. Maniac was gone for 6 months. The quietest 6 months this forum has ever had.

So where are you Fiend? Come out, come out wherever you are!

1. The ratings will continue to be good and improve because its fun to watch this train wreck.

2. They are great and imploding and crumbling under pressure

Ah, so it was a little bit personal as well. I can understand that.

I enjoy watching the weekly storylines unfold as each Sunday approaches, and following the ups and downs for each team but I don't love the "We lost against a team that had 6 wins last year we're doomed fire the coach change the quarterback!" attitude that sometimes results.

If the Cowboys are 0-3 going into the bye, I think it could really become a big problem; that bye week is in a bad place for them, honestly.

Well, I am a Cowboys fan, and I am not hiding anywhere....and if history is any indicator, we have went 0-2 once, and WON the Superbowl...

so, if anyone is silly enough to write us off, then I would love to take your betting dollars

I never claimed Dallas was Super Bowl bound because of last seasons results. My prediction was based on a few things, the least of which was their playoff win against the Eagles.

Why do you think I should feel compelled to post in a thread dedicated to the degradation of the most spectacular entity to ever enter the world of sports, America's Team, the Dallas Cowboys? I'm not starting threads for every milestone the reach. I won't post every week that Dallas falls short of my expectations, just like I don't create threads dedicated to their divine being, although we all know I could. It's won't be due to frustration, lost interest, or any other negative assumption you can think of that I won't post when they lose. I post when I have something to say.

HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two games into the 2010 season and the Cowboys are 0-2. A guy who favors a team with a shaky QB situation decides to begin a thread about a team who entered the season with great expectations. He doesn't get the response he expected from fans of America's most valuable franchise and decides that this is an indication of how fickle their fan base truly is.

How worthless is your favorite team that you begin threads about teams you claim to despise. We're used to being hated on. We're not going to respond to every little remark made about America's most popular team. You'll have to take a number.

You're concerned with Dallas' 0-2 start when the Eagles narrowly escaped the same fate after allowing the Lions to come within three-points of victory. Let's see where the teams stand at the end of the season - you know - when you can actually come to a conclusion of how good or bad a actually team is.

Im by no means a cowboys fan, but I can relate and will back Tickle Fiend up here cuz my team of choice, the Vikings are also at an 0-2 start...all I have to say is this, it's still early in the season...two losses don't mean anything, a perfect example would be the 0-2 start of the New York Giants...whom I believe went on to kick the poo out of the "Undefeated" Patriots in a previous years Superbowl...so Let's not pick on people for liking a team thats doing poorly in the early goings of the race, there's plenty of time to stock up on W's and Secure spots in the playoffs and the Big game this year...That is all

Is it STILL too early for the Cowpokes and their "loyal" fans to hit the panic button yet??? :panic: 1-4 after 5 games??? :laughhard:

Gee, I haven't been seeing any people wearing Cowpoke jerseys and hats around town lately?? Coincidence?? I think not.

Oh, what a glorious day it's been so far. :bounce:

Ummm...yes you did! And here it is...

The Cowboys went 11-5 and won the division last year. They also went on to win a playoff game. The beat New Orleans with the season the line and beat the Eagles in the final game to win the division. Romo has won big games in his career. The only thing he hasn't done is win a Super Bowl.

There's a difference between someone who can't get it done and a person who hasn't done it yet. I believe Romo will lead the Cowboys to the Super Bowl more than once and they have a great shot at doing it this season.

The Cowboys possess a top-10 offense and defense.

So as usually...you have no idea how to call your team because as usual you are looking at your team through rose colored glasses. And with your team at 1-4, I would say, your team is DONE LIKE DINNER!

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." -- George Santayana

The Dallas Cowboys might want to brush up on their Spanish philosophers.

One week after a celebration penalty played a pivotal role in the team's loss to the Tennessee Titans, the Cowboys went out and got another one after scoring its first touchdown Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. So much for learning from past mistakes.

Idiots. Morons. Knuckleheads. Take your pick. What exactly are they celebrating?

As my other post said.. how stupid are the Dallas Cowboys?

1-4 stupid.

Unlike some, I don't think the Cowboys are quite dead yet.

At 1-4 it doesn't look good, but look at the division. They play the Giants on Monday night next week. If they win, they'd be 2-4 and New York would fall to 4-3. The Redskins are 3-3 and would be 3-4 or 4-3 depending on whether the Bears' offense decides to show up or not. The Eagles played well against Atlanta, but have to hit the road against Tennessee before their bye and could easily drop that game and fall to 4-3, especially with the injuries they've dealt with.

So after next week's games we could see this:

Giants: 4-3
Redskins: 4-3
Eagles: 4-3
Cowboys: 2-4

With another game later in the season against the Giants and Skins and 2 against the Eagles, they can still have a big divisional impact.

Among their other 6 remaining games, there are 3 in which (should they get things turned around) they should be favored and 3 toughies including at the Packers, at Indy, and at home against the Saints.

If they can go 4-1 in the division the rest of the way (to assume, in other words that they'll beat Washington and drop just one to either Philly or New York) and they can take care of business against the 3 weaker teams and win at least one against the three toughies, they'd be 9-7 on the season. Given the state of the NFC that might be enough to sqeak in as a wild card. If they do even better, 10-6 might challenge for the division.

However, if they lose to the Giants next Monday night, New York would go to 5-2 and the Cowboys would have to go 8-2 the rest of the season to have a chance at a wild card spot because the division race would basically be over for them. As it is, they'd have to beat the Giants and then go 7-3. That's hard, but not mind-numbingly so.

So, Monday night is the last chance for Dallas, I think. A loss would all but end their season. A win would allow them a spark of life. The only reason they aren't dead already is because everyone in the NFC has at least 2 losses so far.
