This cover is a rare piece of tickling art history. As noted in the Hunted Super Compendium, which I've uploaded to www.patreon.com/oblesklk, we created a 2D version of Hunted #1. Afterwards, when I could see what Yurihausen could do, I wanted him immediately on the series. Yurihausen has such an eye and talent, I knew I wanted his artistic abilities to portray the world that Jon and I were trying to build. At the times our talks started, Hunted #1, the 2D version, was already pretty much wrapped up. So I decided to pay the studio, thanked them, and never published it. I didn't want there to be confusion on art styles for the series.
Fast forward over a decade, and the 2D version of the comic has surfaced in my library.
