I was sitting on the egde of my bed this morning and dropped my cell phone. It wound up under the bed of course, forcing me to the floor to retrieve it.Seems like the same thing happens if i drop something near my car or any other large heavy object. Are there black holes lurking under such object's,drawing in anything that come's near?If anyone has any theory's on this i would be glad to hear them.

Oh yeah. See Murphy.

If an object
of a certain weight, size, shape and (density overall)
will fall at such an angle
and at a certain velocity
and upon such a surface

that it will bounce (or roll)

it WILL do so in the most @#$%&*!!! inconvenient direction possible,
and preferably under another and far more inaccessible object.

(And there you have one reason I failed Physics in high school.... :upsidedow )

All objects which contain mass will also contain a gravitational pull.

Therein lies your immutable law of physics, dear sir.

Cheers. 🙂

It's the little people.
They lurk... waiting for their opportunity... and when you drop something... they move in at the speed of blink... kick it in the direction of the worst possible retrieval... and giggle from their hiding places as you crawl (very undignified) and cuss and stretch... scrabbling for the object that by all rights and purposes... should have landed and remained at your feet.

No???

Well... it sounded good anyway.

The left lens of the glasses I wear when I drive popped out of it's frame and disappeared into a black hole somewhere in the driver's compartment of my car.

Needless to say I was only able to drive halfway home that night, and had to walk the remaining half (38 miles).

Found it two days later wedged in by the parking brake mechanism.

Sumbitch was edge-on, making it almost impossible to spot.

The lens has since been introduced to SuperGlue.

I think it's your own personal bad karma...the souls of all those little bugs coming back to haunt you.

That's simply one phenomenon of Murphy's law. When you drop a piece of toast, it will almost always land on the buttered side, and if you drop small objects, they will fall into a position where they can only be retrieved with extreme difficulty...

Awww come on now Lynn give me a break will ya?😉

whilst i do not have an answer to this dilema, i am pretty certain it is connected in some way with those socks that always dissappear from the drier. 10 go in, 9 come out.......where do they go? :wow:
