I know that Joe Millionaire will not have a 2cd season (this was confirmed by Fox). But I thought this would be an interesting scenario.....

"Joe Schmoe"

Take a multi-millionaire, transform him into a regular 9-5 blue collar laborer. Have him meet with 20 single women (like The Bachelor), and these ladies do not know he is worth millions.

Once again, following the lines of The Bachelor, Joe Schmoe will choose the ladies that will continue to the next stage.

Once a "winner" is chosen, it will be the ladie's choice as if they will continue to have a relationship or not.

Then once everything is said and done, have Joe Schmoe" reveal that he is not really a blue-collar worker, but is indeed a multi-millionaire.

That should piss of any ladies that may have snubbed him.

Or if the lady chooses to have a relationship, at least Joe will know it was not for his money (as she did not know he was loaded).

I think that's a great idea. Do a show for both the ladies and the men but the Networks would probably feel that it's too realistic for "Reality T.V." :blaugh:

Good Idea

That's such a good idea, I guarantee...that no network would consider it as anything other than a "movie of the week".

Don't feel too badly, though...that just makes you a smarter, not to mention better, person than network executives can aspire to be.

I agree, "Joe Schmoe" is a good concept. I still wouldn't watch, but it'd be great to see the losers bang their heads on the wall. 😀

This plot (a very rich man whom women think is not) has been used in the movies. There is a 1953 film, "How to Marry a Millonaire" starring Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable, and Lauren Bacall, in which the three women pool their resources and rent an apartment on Park Avenue in the hopes of meeting and marrying millionaires.

They all fall in love with men who have little or no money, so they think. After the weddings, it turns out that one of the men is very rich indeed.

I have a question...

In who's reality does any of this crap actually happen? 🙄

Here's reality: You wake up, you eat (maybe), you go to work, you eat (maybe), you go home, you make something to eat (maybe), watch a little tv, go online for a bit, you go to bed, you get up the next day and start all over again (maybe).

Throw in a few bathroom breaks, a shower or two, and if applicable, spend time with the wife/girlfriend and kids (maybe).

THAT, my fellow ticklephiles, is reality. 😀 What you do on your days off is your business.

Reality shows are NOT reality. And that, as they say, is that. Now if you'll excuse me, I must be off to rain on someone else's parade today. 😛
