Mine is Gravitation. I can't get enough! Im also watching Inuyasha and Fruits Basket at the moment... ^^

..I also was into Rurouni Kenshin, but I just lost interest all of the sudden...whats up with that?!? ~.^

..let's hear it people!

Inuyasha, definitely on top, for now. I was and still am obsessed with Rurouni Kenshin, but now it's only on once a week.🙁 SD Gundam, simply because I find it hilarious.😀 And now the King Piccolo saga of Dragonball. Pluuuuuus.......FOOLY COOLY!!!!!😀 😀

Favourites

I am currently enamoured with *Azumanga Daiou*. *Azumanga Daiou* is my current favourite.

I am also actively trying to finish up watching *Kareshi Kanojo No Jijyou [His And Her Circumstances]* and *Nowaaru [Noir]*.

Anyone seen *Sennen Joyu [Millennium Actress]*, yet? It is a lovely film and opening in select cities in the United States, on September 12 Friday.

ticklernyc

Just pick up Ninja Scroll, The Series (Dragon Stone). It's pretty cool.

anime....

Yaah big props to the anime fans out there. You guys gotta check out the bastard series, record of lodoos war series. Freakin cool as hell!🙂

I have watched Anime in one form or another since way back, starting with "Gigantor" and it's ilk. I really got into it in the early 90's, watching the likes of "BAOH", "BATTLE ROYAL HIGH SCHOOL", "GHOST SWEEPER MIKAMI", "MIDNIGHT EYE", "AKIRA", the "ARMITAGE" series, and so on. Oh, and of course I was heavily into "DRAGONBALL", but after "Baby Saga", my interest in Anime (and Hentai for that matter) started falling off. Recently I have been trying to get back on track, and viewed "COWBOY BEBOP" on a friend's recommendation. I know there's a lot of new stuff out there. Any recommendations?

For pure insane comedy, Fooly Cooly. For a darker series, Hellsing I HIGHLY recommend. And, for something a little like Cowboy Bebop, try Trigun. For interesting plots and characters, either Rurouni Kenshin or Inuyasha are excellent.

and for

insane scientific -like religious stuff try the envangelion sereis😀

Like your epic battles to last weeks, try out dragon ball z.😉

and like HDS said, check out trigun and inyuasha. They're really great series too.

Ooooo....forgot Evangelion. And, to clarify, FLCL is Fooly Cooly, abreviated.

Oh, Aph? W00T is spelled with zeros, not "o's."😀

Still watching Trigun even after 3 cycles and loving it (Even though last nights ep was a real downer). My current obsession is Big-O. It's a nice bit of Batman, Assimov, and for lack of a better analogy, a hint of Eva.

My next item on the list is Excell Saga and Witch Hunter Robin.

woot!

Woo, an anime thread!

I'm currently WAAAAAAY into Mahoromatic: Automatic Maiden -- which is another great series by Gainax (Bless them (They also created FLCL and Evangelion))! You all need to watch it -- infact, click the link in my signature! My site isn't quite done really, but whatever.

If you like things that are pure insanity, like Excel Saga, you REALLY have to see Puni Puni Poemi. It's insanity is like Excel Saga x10. It's a shame it's only two episodes long, but at least it didn't drag itself out!

Another good one I've been watching lately is Steel Angel Kurimi -- although I hate the dub and episodes are only about 14 minutes long. Making animes with short episodes seems to be a new trend... Another good one is Risky Safety, a strange new anime with very short episodes.

Oh! Oh! And KO Beast Century! That series is SO funny. If you like things like Slayers or Maze: The Mega-Burst Space, you'll love this.

Oh yeah! And Space Pirate Mito! It's old, but it's really funny in my opinion, and it was recently brought out on DVD again.

DBGT's out now -- still waiting for it to come out here in New Zealand though. I hear rumors that the first 10 episodes were cut out, even on the DVD's, but I don't know if thats true yet. Funimation wouldn't be that stupid, right..? Anyway, yes, I have all of DBGT on CDR -- but its not the same!!

In conclusion; I could write a report on animes I'm currently into ^^x;

Yep, unfortunately, Funimation did choose to cut the first 10 eps...and yes, they are stupid. I don't care for GT that much though, so it doesn't really matter to me. But I feel for you GT fans =P

Thanks for all the recommendations guys, and luckily I know where to find most of those.

Tonight, I watched an excellent Anime movie titled "BLOOD: The Last Vampire", about a brooding, samurai sword-wielding female vampire who hunts demons. Very nicely done!
I wonder if this movie was a one-shot deal, if there were any follow ups? It'd be shame not to continue the storyline.

I have not even a passing interest, however...

As a small child, I did like Astro-Boy, especially the squeeky sound of his footsteps. Later on, you had Marine Boy and then Speed Racer. But my favorite Japanese cartoon of all time was rather obscure, as nobody today seems to remember it. Eighth Man, from the sixties, and in black and white. He was a robot (The Japanese were big on robots on those days) that had a big 8 on his chest, and a smooth helmet on his head. He wasn't huge like Gigantor or Ultraman, just normal human size. To me he looked like a football player. His powers were pretty much as you'd suspect, superhuman strength and invulnerability, plus he could fly, I think. In my opinion though, his coolest skill was the ability to assume the guise of anybody he wanted, in an instant. For the most part he was either himself or his alter-ego, Detective Tobor. Yes that's robot spelled backwards. Tobor had a secretary named Jenny Heartsweet. The only other recurring character was Professor Genius, Eighth Man's creator. The music was kind of cool, too...

Call Tobooorr...The Eighth Man!...
Toboooorr...The Eighth Man!....
Faster than a rocket...
Swifter than a jet...
He's the mighty robot...
He's the one to get...

Hehe, though I'm not a fanatic or anything... I used to enjoy watching various anime a few years ago (I just don't look for the time thats all)... hmmm.. whats the stuff I can remember...

Neon Genesis, Evangelion. Though for the past 3 years I've been meaning to borrow the series off a friend of mine so I can watch the one or two episodes that I missed...

Akira. That was fun... and today even me and one of my Piano lectures got a little confused when some of my friends started talking about Akira as a really good pianist rather than a guy that eventually becomes this enormous great big thing (been a while since I saw it)

Bubblegum Crisis. I only half watched this though... I missed every 2nd episode cause I kept forgetting which time it was on.

Oh yeah... and when I still had to go to school at 7:30 in the morning, I used to watch Pokémon just for the hell of it while I was waking up. (never understood Baybladers though... just found it amusing)

Apart from that, I only occasionally get to see stuff like that these days... mostly because my father hasn't been keeping an eye on SBS to see when the good ones are on... and I just don't watch alot of TV these days.

The best Bubblegum Crisis is definatly the originals. I have them all on VHS AND DVD (My VHS ones started getting old, so I uh...rebought them on DVD). I do have all of BGC Tokyo 2040 too, but while it's an okay series, it's definatly not as good as the orignals.

If you liked Bubblegum Crisis, you should try to see the sequal; Bubblegum Crash. The only issues I have with the sequal is they changed Priss' voice...in both the Japanese and English formats! FOOLS!
