The economy is bad, but we aren't in a depression. Nothing compared to the Great Depression before.

We're very much in a depression. You listen to the media too much.

We may not be in as big of a shit hole as the Great Depression, but we have a much larger problem on the horizon.

The Great Depression ended because of one very economically-inspiring event. Do you remember what it was? World War II. The US suddenly had a LOT of work to do, with a shortage of workers due to the amount of soldiers being deployed.

It doesn't look like we have a World War to pull us out of this. Not to mention that modern wars don't operate like they used to.

Economic indicators currently, GDP last quarter 1.9, unemployment 9.2, slight rise in inflation and rising (High gas prices), big time deficit... Slow growth economy, depression NOT, Recession NOT, but who knows a year from now?
