Hello Everyone!
::waiting for those that listened to me say at every one of those 10 NEST events that Spenser and I attended that I was going to run home and join this little corner of Cyberland to pick themselves up from their swoon!::
I first want to echo Spenser in thanking Max for bringing his dream forth into such a wonderful reality! Max: Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
I remember the first year that Spenser talked me into attending this. After driving downtown, we found an ally parking spot and climbed a very long, very steep set of very narrow (!) stairs to a loft filled to overflowing with folks – many too shy to talk much and others laughing, tickling, and building the beginnings of what has become the NEST Event that some of us were lucky enough to share and experience this past weekend!
I realized as I wrote this that this was the first year that I did not make a point of announcing that I hate to be tickled and that I am only taking part in this because it is something that Spenser enjoys so much. Over the years I have grown to look forward to the arrival of NEST weekend and as each NEST ends I look eagerly forward to the next one! Not just for the chance to talk to the many folks we have come to know and enjoy and the fantastic foot massages, but also for the fun, the laughter, and yes, even the tickling!!!
It was also another first for me. It was the very first time that I have ever tickled another person at NEST. I do not think I ever tickled anyone when I was a child (I was more the “tie em to a tree or swat em with an apple branch” type). I know I never tickled my children when they were little. LOL, now I know why Spenser likes it so much. Wow!
My thanks to the terrific lady that allowed me to tickle her. I would love to mention her name within this post but until I am more familiar with how tickle folks handle such social etiquettes, I will simply mention the experience and the enjoyment and let her post her name if she is comfortable enough to do so. I feel like I finally became more than just a bystander! Hey, I earned the title on that name badge – “tickle switch.” No longer just someone that lets her hubby and a few friends tickle her – I have ARRIVED! <eg>

Another of us (me, I’m ashamed to have to admit) indulged my “not so nice inner impatient mommy” and the ball game was removed from the hot tub. I want to apologize to those folks for hiding their harder plastic ball (ok, “Evil inner mommy”>. You all were great to keep it over in the pool for those of us needing calm relaxation of these aging ole muscles. Yea, Yea… Right! Actually we were preparing for all that non-stop Sunday action so we could keep up with all of you young whippersnappers! <LOL> Seriously, folks, please accept my apology for seeming so sharp about it initially. I am sorry. Thank you for being understanding and keeping the game over in the pool the remainder of the evening.
One of the things that I find so impressive about this event is the wide range of ages that come together to enjoy each other so openly and acceptingly.
There are simply too many people that deserve to be listed, so many that put themselves out to make me feel comfortable and welcomed. I am still feeling too overwhelmed to know where to begin. Thanks to every one of you!

Mini? Hey, who said anything bout mini! Hmpt! But party we shall! I had so much fun at the tickle party that we hosted here that I was ready to invite everyone back the next week.
Hugs and Tickles to Everyone,
M
