Another Noise Making Program

Fruity Loops = LOVE!! 😀 And it's frighteningly easy to create a drum loop. Hell, I'm rhythmically challenged and made one. It just blows my mind how easy this program is, overall, to use and how fast someone can turn out something that sounds kinda complex and professional sounding. Not to mention, youtube is filled with tutorials on it. So for those who truly enjoy noise/music making programs, i definitely recommend FL Studio 8.

I used to use FLStudio when I started out making beats, back when I was 15 or so. It's a good program to use, I wrote some fun (albeit pretty shit) tunes on that software.

I've since started using Ableton Live, and I don't think my writing style has improved any. 😀

I've just recently (hehe yesterday counts as recent right?) gotten into the whole music program thing so honestly I'ven't heard of Ableton Live yet. What's the differences between the two programs?

Well, they both have similar features; I think the major difference is that FLStudio is a loop based recording program, whereas Ableton is somewhat more like a software recording studio. It's not so limiting as FL in terms of creativity, though it's a tad more expensive.

Many people look at it as bad and unproffesional program just because some many newbies within music use it. But thats FAAAAAAR from the truth.

Some dudes at the same record label as me only use FL Studio.

Oooh that's neat. I wanna make some darkcore too now 😀 I imagine so many newbies use it because it's all nice and newbie friendly. I wonder if there is any way to use FL studio in conjuction with something like Arturia Prophet V (something gothika turned me on to that will be seriously badass once I have the space to hook up my keyboard.)

I use FL for all my "noise making" purposes.

FL, Ableton, Reason, these programs all have the ability to make professional music. It's not about the program though, it's about the VST Plugins (virtual synthesisers) that you use with the program. Have bangin' vsts, and you'll make bangin' music.

Here's an Eminem Breaks remix I made recently. Might not be "sick" shit, but I'm pretty damn proud of it.

Yep 🙂 I did these on Ableton rather than FL, but as Xion said, it's about the VSTs you use, not to mention the mind behind the music.

I do indeed know that song - killer track. 🙂
I mostly make music for fun; the closest I've gotten to making money off it is dropping them into a mix while I'm DJing.
