Looking at the Tickle antipersperant thread reminded me of another commercial for something called the Epiped (From the same people who brought you the Epilady hair removal system). Basically, a foot massaging unit, the commercial started off with, what looked to be an Egyptian princess, and a big male servant rubbing her bare foot. The voiceover saying "Years ago, it was discovered that, massaging the foot could lead to better health.". It then cut away to a picture of a woman, with her feet in the Epiped. (Shown from the shins down. How did I know it was a woman? It's my job!) Voiceover: "The Epiped feels like dozens of fingers stimulating the pressure points.". Then the Epiped vanished, and was replaced by about six hands, palms to the screen, wriggling their fingers on the sole of the woman's foot! Now, I'm not sure about this next bit, being is a severe state of shock will do that, but I could have sworn I heard a tiny giggle! I only saw the commercial twice, and it is unfortunate that my VCR was not working at the time. I was thinking about the statement made in the other thread, what would be today's reaction to such a commercial? It seems to me someone had problems with it. I mean, I'd seen dozens of commercials for the Epilady, but only two for the Epiped? Doesn't seem right, somehow. Did anyone else see this commercial?
