I wrote this one yesterday in 10 minutes. I don't like it. You kinda have to understand Irish history to get this poem.
King Brian
Listen
The ghosts of Clontarf speak
Brian Boru, the King
He lies dead from a Norseman
Slain from off his horse
One of Sitric's warriors
Come from behind
Stabbed in the back he was
Like from Gormlaith herself
King Brian, son of Cennedi
Proud warrior king slain like the many under him
Died with pride on his shoulders
And victory in his mind
The ghosts of Clontarf speak
Listen.
