I could think of several alternative endings to that display of emotional disturbance coming from the likes of Kanye.

Why is everyone acting like he committed a crime? I'm sure that everyone hasn't seen what took place. He didn't shoot her, he just interrupted her moment. She'll get over it, he'll apologize and they'll probably present an award together at next years VMA's.

What do Kanye West and Serena Williams have in common?

A spoiled attitude that is deserving of a good old fashioned beatdown.

Of course, Serena does have a lot more talent.
 
Altho I agreed with Kanye, I think it was beyond wrong of how he handled it. I was more upset that he hurt Taylor and embarrassed Beyonce.

But Beyonce being the QUEEN that she is, gave Taylor her moment back after she (Bey) had won the biggest award of the night.


I'm glad she's gaining more fans after people are FINALLY seeing how sweet and humble she is. I LOOVE BEYONCE!!
 
Like everything showbiz it was probably a staged publicity stunt. lol come on, who actually watched the VMAs?

I like the fact that everyone missed Mage ranting on about a dead pedophile for 10 mins...

Can I just say that besides the fact that I fucking ADORE Taylor Swift and have hated Kanye West from the gate, that this video is the most adorable thing I've ever seen.

I've never heard any of his rants, have seen only news items pertaining to them. I've never heard any of his songs, or have seen any of his videos...I do feel quite proud that someone like this doesn't show up on my radar. He's probably not talented enough; I can wager any amount of money that he wouldn't deserve to share the same air as those I consider musical icons in my life. He sounds like a male version of Madonna.

Okay, everything about that video is cheese. From the fact that she is already an attractive girl and so she puts on a single pair of glasses to appear "nerdy" (hello self-confidence shattering towards tween girls!), then just takes them off to magically turn into a fairy princess hot girl. The 'enemy' within the video wears the "red" dress and she wears the angelic white. ALL that along with the blatantly obvious high-school stereotyping makes for an extremely poor fucking terrible video.

You can love the song and hate the video - I accept.
 
You can have balls and also have class. Unfortunately, Kanye only has the former. A 32-year-old man ruining a moment of achievement for a 19-year-old girl because they like another girl more is totally classless and juvenile. I don't care if he apologizes afterward. He's had enough time to understand what is appropriate behavior.

I grant he's a talented musician. I usually like his work. But just as I separate the art from the artist, and can appreciate good art by an unpleasant human being, I also can appreciate character without my estimation of it being colored by talent in his field. His body of work forgives him no personal faults in my book.

He's talented, but classless, rude, and a spoiled, egotistical child.

Once I found his outbursts quaint. "Oh look!" I thought, "He wants to show us his ego is as big as Axl Rose's!"

But when you have to steal things from other people to feed your ego -- and make no mistake, that was the theft of a person's moment -- you make clear you are a repugnant solipsist.

He's done this time and again, usually on his own behalf, throwing temper tantrums like a child when he doesn't win. And that's not balls, that's just pathetic.

He does this so often, you just know there's a parody video on the way:



(A small office. A BOSS sits behind the desk, and his employee JOE waits nervously in the chair across from him.)

BOSS: After much consideration, I've decided to promote you to Vice-President. (extends hand)

JOE: (shaking hand) Ohmygosh! Are you serious?! I don't know what to--

(KANYE WEST BARGES IN AND FORCIBLY PARTS THEIR HANDS, MID-SHAKE.)

(An operating room, mid-surgery. The patient's thoracic cavity open.)

SURGEON: Scalpel.

(ATTENDING hands SURGEON the scalpel. KANYE WEST BARGES IN AND TAKES THE SCALPEL OUT OF THE SURGEON'S HAND.)

KANYE: (to SURGEON) Yo Doc -- I'm really happy for you, I'ma let you finish -- but Linda up in 317A has been rockin' that dialysis machine like nobody's business!!! She's the best dialysis recipient OF ALL TIME!!! She's the one that really deserves this kidney!!!

(Pause as KANYE looks at the blank stares of all in O.R. KANYE shrugs, hands SURGEON back the scalpel, and walks away.)



Seriously, no one should let this douche into another award show unless he's on an 8-inch kevlar-and-spectra-weave tether tied to Paul Reubens or the corpse of Ed McMahon. If they need drama, at least that would supply it, and everyone else would probably be able to see Kanye coming and stop him from further jackassery.

He's scheduled to do the debut of the Leno Show tonight. Perfection would be Jay bumping him for Taylor Swift, and says in his monologue: "Yo Kanye -- I'm really happy for you, I'ma let you finish... ...on another show."

Bottom line: Kanye's made himself a joke, and a poor one.
 
Kanye is a jerk. While I'm not a huge Taylor Swift fan, she won so let the girl go up there and make her speech. Kanye could have picked a better time and place to go off on a rant to express his feelings.....surely it didn't have to be while the poor girl was up there for her big moment, a moment I'm sure she had dreamed about since she was little. I actually felt bad for her. I used to think that Kanye was an annoying asswipe but now I realize that he's just a douche. I got a kick out of everyone booing him. I think HE needs to find Jesus, to quote one of his songs. Lol, he looked like a little boy having a tantrum because the ice cream man didn't have any bomb pops left. Grow up Kanye.....and while you're at it, grow a set. Idiot.
 
I hated what he did, and it makes me like him even less.... I felt really bad for Taylor Swift, to have a moment like that taken away

I hope Kanye gets hit by a speeding train, and then have the train back up to hit him again
 
Personally, I couldn't give a flying fuck one way or the other. All that award bullshit is nothing more than celebrities patting each other on the back and whoring themselves out for vapid fans. I hope the celebs choose sides and have an all out war with each other and wipe themselves out. Then maybe the public will start paying attention to things that matter.
